Job description

The Credit Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Essential Duties

  1. Proven ability to manage all essential duties of the City Bank Credit Analyst position.
  2. Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approval. Senior Credit Analysts are expected to underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.
  3. Participate in the credit review process and insure that all underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.
  4. Efficiently Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to effectively interpret, apply, and advise on policy.
  5. Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist Lenders on client calls/meetings.

  8. Identify and coordinate external training opportunities for credit department.

  10. Participate in external training modules that consist of advanced credit analysis training a minimum of 2 times per year.
  11. Other job duties as required by the Regional Credit Managers.
