Position: Intern (6 Month Contract)

Department: Capital Markets

Reports To: Vice President

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Office Location: Midtown, New York

Job Summary:

A boutique private bank is seeking a versatile candidate with strong analytical and communication skills to assume a multi-faceted role within a growing organization.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparation of materials for Board of Director meetings.
  • Produce Excel reports, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly related to banking activity, interest rates and loan origination.
  • Interest Rate Swap market-to-market and daily margin posting.
  • Analysis of prospective client portfolios in order to develop proposals
  • Corporate and Municipal Bond credit analysis and ongoing surveillance and credit committee member.
  • Mortgage Pricing, Bank Liquidity Reporting, Foreign Currency Hedging
  • Preparation of quarterly Account Review Committee (ARC) materials and attend ARC meetings for private banking entities.
  • Develop integral knowledge of BNY Pershing NetX360 custodian platform
  • Preparation of regulatory and audit responses for external agencies

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or related major
  • MBA or advanced education a plus

Compensation:

$25 - $30/hour depending on candidate experience
