Position Overview

HDs Integrated Media Planner uses data, insights, media planning expertise, and platform fluency to develop high-performing plans that help clients accomplish their business objectives. This role develops strategies and tactics that drive revenue, improve conversion, build loyalty, increase brand reach and relevance, and maximize media efficiency.

The ideal candidate has experience developing and executing media plans across digital and traditional channels, with strong working knowledge of paid social and an ability to support organic social planning/content strategy. This person should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, translating client goals into clear media recommendations, coordinating campaign details, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities to improve results.


Responsibilities

  • The Integrated Media Planner will:
  • Design, negotiate, and execute media plans with a clear understanding of clients businesses, objectives, target audiences, and the most effective media channels.
  • Develop recommendations across paid digital, paid social, search, programmatic, video, display, traditional media, and other relevant channels.
  • Support organic social planning as needed, including platform recommendations, content themes, social audits, posting considerations, and performance learnings.
  • Work across agency teams to align media recommendations with broader account plans and creative campaigns.
  • Perform market, audience, competitive, and media research to uncover opportunities that help clients accomplish their business objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of media plans, including RFPs, media recommendations, negotiating and buying, budget review, reconciliation, and reporting support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign assets are developed to the correct specifications and delivered to media partners on time.
  • Monitor campaign pacing and performance in partnership with channel leads and analytics teams, helping identify optimization opportunities and key takeaways.
  • Help translate campaign results into clear reporting insights, implications, and recommendations.
  • Stay current on media trends, platform changes, social media best practices, consumer behavior shifts, and emerging opportunities.


Qualifications

  • 2 years+ experience developing and executing media plans in an agency or corporate in-house marketing function.
  • Experience translating clients business objectives into actionable media plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Proficient in digital and traditional media channels, with particular familiarity in paid social, programmatic, search, video, display, and/or retail media.
  • Working knowledge of organic social strategy, social audits, content planning, or platform best practices is a plus.
  • Ability to read research reports, performance data, and campaign results, then translate findings into actionable planning direction.
  • Experience with consumer research tools such as MRI/Simmons, GWI, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with media planning, buying, ad serving, and reporting tools such as Basis, Strata, Campaign Manager 360, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GA4, or similar platforms is a plus.
