Position Summary:

The Creative Strategist is primarily responsible for supporting the Director of Creative Strategy. Creative Strategist may: develop strategic and creative frameworks that guide marketing strategies and campaign execution, develop creative briefs for marketing assets or influencers, perform research on audience insights/cultural trends/platform changes, creative writing, and presentation of ideas and pitches. It is expected that the Creative Strategist will work autonomously and manage their time while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Position Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Strategy & Concept Development:
    1. With oversight from the Director of Creative Strategy:
      1. Develop strategic and creative frameworks that align with brand goals, audience insights, and business objectives.
      2. Lead the development of creative briefs that transform marketing strategies into relatable, elevated, and actionable creative outputs.
      3. Conduct audience research, competitive analysis, cultural trend forecasting to inform brand storytelling.
      4. Collaborate with creative leaders in the articulation and presentation of innovative ideas through persuasive narratives, visual storytelling, and proof of concept.
      5. Facilitate workshops and brainstorms to foster collaboration and unlock original thinking.
      6. Present strategic concepts and storytelling recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  2. Campaign & Content Development:
    1. With oversight from the Director of Creative Strategy:
      1. Manage the briefing, development and execution of content strategies that attract, engage, and activate target audiences across all marketing channels.
      2. Provide creative direction and storytelling strategy for campaign messaging and content.
      3. Ensure creative work Creative Strategy is responsible for is rooted in strategic insight and tailored to the nuances of each platform and audience segment.
      4. Provide guidance on content calendars and creative storytelling approaches for high quality content.
      5. Work closely with creative teams to ensure campaign creative execution aligns with strategic vision.
  3. Insights & Innovation:
    1. Utilize social listening tools, audience segmentation, and cultural analysis to inform creative recommendations.
    2. Conduct competitive research to identify whitespace opportunities for brands.
    3. Translate data and insights into actionable strategies that drive engagement and brand growth.
    4. Share insights and innovations with the broader company to increase efficiencies and quality of work cross-teams.
  4. Project Management:
    1. Manage Wrike on a daily basis to ensure tasks are updated and due dates are adjusted if needed to ensure projects are completed on time.
    2. Collaborate with and delegate work to Strategy Teams (AAE/AC/Interns) as well as Creative Team (videographers/graphic designers/photographers) as needed to complete the deliverables for the client.
    3. Manage strategy and creative team Wrike tasks for Creative Strategy projects to ensure client creative needs are met successfully and within the deadline.
  5. Internal Team Management:
    1. Facilitate at least weekly team meetings with the Director of Creative Strategy to ensure projects are being completed on time and any concerns are surfaced and follow ups are assigned/delegated for resolution.
    2. Create and share the agenda and take notes for internal team meetings led by Creative Strategy department
      1. Communicate project needs, upcoming projects, and new priorities based on current clients and workload
      2. Review project needs and delegation
  6. Performance & Optimization:
    1. Analyze campaign performance data and consumer engagement metrics to refine creative strategies.
    2. Work with Strategy Teams to optimize content for different platforms.
    3. Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and shifting consumer behaviors to keep brands relevant.
  7. Visibility on Estimates & Contracts:
    1. Assist Director of Creative Strategy with ideating proposals and estimates for future projects based on client goals and team availability.
    2. Assist Director of Creative Strategy with finalizing and executing client contracts.
  8. Other job duties as assigned
