Job Description

The Creative Workflow Graphic Designer role manages workflow of the creative design studio and supports creating effective design solutions for customer materials through both print and digital media when business needs require.

Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5:30 PM (1st Shift)

*This role is currently hybrid in Wheeling, WV (2 days onsite per week).

  • Act as primary day-to-day liaison between clients and internal creative teams
  • Monitor projects, including scheduling, estimating, obtaining job detail information and job tracking with consistent client contact
  • Establish and promote excellent customer service through effective and proactive communications to inform clients and other stakeholders on project status
  • Assemble appropriate resources required to successfully implement the client's projects with the support of management
  • Enter and track a high volume of data-related work components and updates to the client project tracking system
  • Effectively track multiple timelines and projects at various stages of a project life cycle
  • Peer proof to ensure the accuracy of design specifications
  • Attend and set relevant client meetings and project management status calls and provide the team with relevant notes following the meetings
  • Understand the restrictions and limitations of the designs deliverable process and manage client expectations where appropriate
  • Interact with clients virtually and in person
  • Adhere to Williams Lea policies in addition to client site policies
  • Use equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Support design and production of a diverse range of graphic, print, and digital media collateral as needed
  • Ensure brand consistency while offering a fresh approach to design, artwork, digital and print output
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in digital arts/graphic design (or other related field) or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience managing projects in the graphic design industry, experience working within strict brand guidelines preferred
  • Proven skills in administrative software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Access
  • Ability to interpret and understand clients’ expectations to guide the creation of creative briefs
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to listen for understanding
  • Proven track record with strong and effective client relationships and solution delivery with the ability to anticipate needs on behalf of the client
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand when to escalate a problem to a supervisory level
  • Knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Conceptual creative and production skills with a good understanding of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and typography
  • Complete understanding of the “big picture” which allows the individual to problem-solve, analyze potential solutions, and use sound judgment
  • Must have the ability to work independently and manage high volumes of information during high-stress situations

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $22.40 - $32.69 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
