Job description

Ready to join a small, fast-moving brand-side team with agency-level ambition?
Good Sam is the world's largest community of RVers, connecting millions of outdoor enthusiasts through travel, community, and lifestyle. We are building a full-funnel brand-from awareness and culture-building through performance, conversion, and retention-and the creative team is at the center of that effort.
We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to help lead concept and craft across Good Sam's brand. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the ACD will be a hands-on creative leader with strong concepting instincts, a proven track record in social-first storytelling, and real fluency in AI-powered creative tools. This is a role for someone who thinks in ideas, moves fast, and brings a genuine connection to the outdoors and the RV lifestyle.
You will work across a full marketing stack-campaigns, social, email, paid media, experiential, and more-as part of a small, fast-moving in-house team that operates with agency-level ambition. Your three defining strengths will be: the ability to develop breakthrough creative concepts; a demonstrated ability to produce scroll-stopping, platform-native social content; and hands-on fluency with AI tools that accelerate ideation and production without sacrificing quality or brand integrity.
If you live and breathe great creative, believe the RV lifestyle deserves world-class storytelling, and want to help build something meaningful at scale-this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Concepting & Campaign Development
  • Concept and develop campaign ideas across full-funnel media, social, email, paid, experiential, and brand moments, from brief through final execution.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to set creative direction, translate strategy into platforms, and maintain brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Bring a strong point of view to how Good Sam shows up on every platform, with a particular emphasis on breakthrough social content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) that earns engagement and drives brand growth.
  • Lead creative for email marketing campaigns, developing concepts and copy that drive engagement and conversion across the CRM funnel.
  • Contribute to experiential creative for Good Sam rallies, RV shows, and brand activations-from booth design and event materials to on-site brand moments that resonate with the RV community.
  • Write and present compelling creative concepts and briefs to internal stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
  • Stay ahead of creative and cultural trends-from emerging social formats to creator economy shifts-translating them into relevant opportunities for the Good Sam brand.

Creative Execution & Team Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day creative execution across multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintaining quality standards at speed in a lean team environment.
  • Mentor junior creatives through direct feedback and skills development, with a focus on social-first storytelling and AI-enabled production.
  • Collaborate with external creative partners-freelancers, production companies, and creators-ensuring integration with the in-house team and adherence to brand standards.
  • Support quality control processes from brief intake through final delivery, reducing revision cycles and improving speed to market.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Brand, CRM, Paid Media, and Product Marketing teams to ensure creative consistency and strategic alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Serve as a creative voice in campaign planning forums, bridging strategic intent with execution and advocating for creative quality throughout.
  • Work with Analytics teams to incorporate performance data into creative decision-making-iterating on concepts, formats, and messaging based on what resonates.

AI & Innovation
  • Actively use AI-powered creative tools to accelerate ideation, content production, and creative iteration-bringing agency-level output capacity to an in-house environment.
  • Embed AI into daily creative workflow across applications such as:
  • Generative AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Runway, Sora) for rapid visual concepting, asset production, and motion content.
  • AI writing assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper) for copy generation, brief development, and concept iteration.
  • AI-enhanced workflow tools (e.g., Frame.io, Figma AI) for creative review, collaboration, and project management.
  • Stay current on the AI creative landscape and translate emerging capabilities into practical applications that support Good Sam's full-funnel marketing build-out.

Qualifications
  • 6-9 years of creative experience, with time at an agency and ideally some brand-side exposure; portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, not just execution.
  • Proven expertise in social-first creative-deep understanding of platform-native formats, creator culture, and what makes content earn organic reach across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (generative image, video, and copy tools) in a real-world creative production environment, not just experimentation.
  • Experience working across a full marketing stack-campaigns, social, email, paid media, and experiential-in a fast-paced environment where one person often wears multiple hats.
  • Strong writing skills across formats-scripts, headlines, email copy, creative briefs, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), Figma, and familiarity with the current generative AI creative toolstack.
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach to creative leadership; able to give and receive direct feedback.
  • Genuine connection to the outdoors, camping, or the RV lifestyle is a meaningful plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, Design, Communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
