Our offices in Boca Raton, FL and Nashville, TN are where we come together for collaboration, education, and celebrations, and we're looking for teammates who can join us in person for those meaningful moments.

The Position:
The Director, Commercial Strategy is the lead commercialization and market strategy expert within BPD's integrated pharmaceutical engagement model. Bridging commercial strategy, market access, customer engagement, and brand activation, this role helps pharmaceutical clients position, launch, and grow brands in competitive markets - translating scientific differentiation into business opportunity and engagement strategies that drive adoption, access, and long-term growth.
Partnering across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, Media, Creative, Sales Enablement, and Account Leadership, the Director, Commercial Strategy develops commercially viable, insight-driven go-to-market strategies grounded in real market dynamics and customer behavior, and serves as a trusted strategic advisor in client engagements and business development.

  • Develop integrated commercialization and go-to-market strategies - channel strategy, stakeholder engagement, customer journey planning, and activation frameworks - aligned to market opportunity and business objectives.
  • Analyze therapeutic category dynamics, competitive landscapes, reimbursement environments, and customer behavior; translate market intelligence into actionable commercial recommendations and identify barriers, adoption challenges, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Integrate market access, payer, and healthcare ecosystem considerations into brand strategy, and support stakeholder segmentation across HCPs, payers, health systems, advocacy groups, and patients.
  • Partner with Brand Strategy and Creative to define differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks that align scientific differentiation with commercial opportunity, translating clinical value into meaningful market narratives.
  • Partner with Media and Engagement teams to shape omnichannel engagement and customer activation plans across digital and in-person ecosystems, leveraging BPD and MJH engagement capabilities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients throughout engagements, building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Play an active role in business development - partnering with Growth and Account Leadership to shape pharma-focused pitches, proposals, and organic growth opportunities, and representing BPD's commercial strategy capabilities in the market.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and BPD's proprietary data platform to accelerate market analysis, insight generation, and commercial planning.
The Essentials:
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercialization, brand strategy, launch planning, or consulting.
  • Deep understanding of pharma market dynamics and commercialization models; experience in specialty, rare disease, or complex therapeutic categories preferred.
  • Strong grasp of payer, reimbursement, and market access considerations.
  • Experience developing omnichannel engagement and customer activation strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with scientific and commercial stakeholders alike, and to collaborate across integrated, cross-functional teams.
  • BA/BS in an advanced science, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or science) a plus.
  • Fluency with AI-enabled tools and data platforms to inform insight generation, market analysis, and commercial planning.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Able to travel as needed.
