ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

As an Account Executive at Motive, you play a key role in the day-to-day execution of client work. You are the connective tissue between the client and our internal teams-responsible for driving projects forward, supporting strategic thinking, and ensuring work is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget.

This is a foundational role on the account team, offering exposure to a broad range of work including traditional, experiential, digital, promotional and media. You'll collaborate with creative, strategy, brand experience and production, as well as other departments while continuing to grow your skills as a marketer, project manager, and client partner.

Your Core Responsibilities
  • Client Partnership
    • Support the account team in managing daily client communications.
    • Build strong relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and professionalism.
    • Help translate client needs into agency action-balancing what's best for the client and what's best for the work.
  • Project & Process Ownership
    • Own specific projects and workstreams, from brief through delivery or activation.
    • Write clear, actionable briefs for internal teams.
    • Track timelines, deliverables, budgets and client feedback to keep projects moving smoothly.
    • Proactively flag and escalate risks or delays and help problem-solve with your team.
  • Financial Stewardship
    • Demonstrate confidence with the financial process, leading with proactivity and ownership.
    • Process client invoices, manage PO and job number requests.
    • Maintain organized files and documentation for all assigned projects.
    • Support budget tracking and reporting.
    • Begin SOW development training, and learn how to build and manage project-level SOWs. 
    • Collaborate on creation of estimates with internal studios based on program needs
  • Creative Collaboration
    • Partner with creative, strategy, brand experience, and other departments to bring ideas to life.
    • Participate in brainstorms and concept reviews.
    • Help ensure the final output meets both the creative vision and client expectations.
  • Integrated Marketing Execution
    • Support a wide range of campaign types- experiential, advertising, retail and promotional, social and digital.
    • Learn to navigate the nuances of each discipline and how they work together as part of integrated brand experiences.
    • Able and willing to travel to client events and activations in a working capacity, leading or supporting depending on the program.
  • Internal Team Contribution
    • Help coordinate and support cross-functional team efforts.
    • Maintain organized documentation and status updates across projects.
    • Stay informed on your clients' industries and competitors to contribute meaningfully to discussions.

Experience & Skills for the Role
  • 3+ years of experience in an integrated agency environment.
  • Familiarity with experiential, retail and promotional marketing, as well as experience with digital and social.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, team-first mindset and a drive to keep learning.
  • An instinct to figure things out, but know when to ask for input to keep things on track.
  • Experience supporting or activating brand partnerships across a range of properties.
