AES Clean Energy (AES CE) is seeking aSenior Manager,Growth Strategyto leadAES'scross-functionalgrowthplanningandproject origination within the SPP, MISO and ERCOT.Operating at the intersection of market strategy, business development, andexecution, this role is accountable for shaping andadvancingthe company's development pipeline across targeted markets and technologies.

  • Lead high-priority strategic initiatives and analyses, applying structured problem-solving to ambiguous challenges to develop market insightsandrecommend actions that drive business outcomes

  • Develop executive-level materials and decision frameworksto communicate pipeline insights and investment recommendations

  • Support evaluation of inbound opportunitiesand provide strategic analysis to inform leadership decisions

  • Develop and apply deepexpertisein regional market dynamics-including ISO/RTO structures, wholesale markets, development lifecycle, policy, regulation, interconnection, and permittingandleadmarket intelligence analysistoidentifyexpansion opportunities and competitive tactics

  • Partner with Policy, Regulatory, and Commercial teamsto developmarket advocacy strategies and positionsthat influence market design, regulatory outcomes, and commercial structures to support project development and maximize portfolio value

  • Build andmaintainrelationships with key external stakeholders, including utilities, ISOs, regulators, and industry participants, toidentifyopportunities and support strategic initiatives

  • Leverage GIS tools(e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth) to support site identification, transmission analysis, and portfolio-level market insights

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Environmental Science, ora relatedfieldrequired.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, MS)stronglypreferred.

Work Experience

  • 7+years of progressive experience in power project development, origination, regulatory and policy analysis, market strategy, or infrastructure investment

  • Minimum 2-3 years of direct people management or team leadership experiencerequired

  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A diligence, greenfield origination, or market entry strategy in the energy sector

  • Deep exposure to ISO/RTO markets, interconnection processes, data centers, and/or energy policy/regulatory environmentsrequired

  • Prior experience in clean energy development (solar, storage, wind) strongly preferred

Skills

  • Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong financial modeling and executive presentation capabilities

  • Proficient in GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth); ability to direct and quality-check geospatial analysis

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred

  • Ability to synthesize research, data, and market insight into compelling, decision-ready business recommendations
