Job description

Senior Associate, Project Manager- Small Business Bank Marketing

As part of the Small Business Bank Marketing Team, you'll function as a Senior Associate Marketing Project Manager, whose primary responsibility is to ensure error-free delivery of customer communications (marketing campaigns or customer servicing communications) via email and direct mail. You'll need to foster a basic understanding of Capital One's Small Business Bank products, features and services to help navigate the business needs as they relate to timely delivery of servicing communications or marketing campaigns. You'll partner with other resources, including but not limited to, Business Analysts, Brand Associates, Data Analysts, Enterprise Messaging, Legal, Compliance and Risk, to ensure deliverables and timelines are met. You'll work with talented and proactive people who will challenge you to excel and develop your project management and communications skills further.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on small to medium-scale complex, cross-departmental projects that have a direct impact on Small Business Banking.

  • Build and edit creative assets for digital and direct mail communications for stakeholder review and approvals

  • Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and/or escalate as needed; while managing upstream and downstream project impacts.

  • Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.

  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation

  • Partner with internal customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

  • Review and edit copy to ensure it aligns with Small Business Banking brand voice, tone, legal and compliance standards

  • Serve as the liaison between internal stakeholders to ensure narrative consistency across email, direct mail and other digital channels.

  • Monitor and track campaigns throughout the creative process while providing guidance and influence as needed

This person will:

  • Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work

  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands

  • Display strong written communication skills and ability to learn and apply brand standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of Project or Process Management experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in copy editing, content strategy, or creative project delivery

  • At least 1 year of Brand experience in multi-channel communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • 3+ years of Communications experience

  • PMP, BPM, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • 2+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience

  • 2+ years of Adobe Workfront experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
