Job description

Within established review processes, this role develops and executes high-quality creative assets for OSD and its affiliated offices across live events, digital platforms, and print channels as needed. The position manages timelines and priorities, collaborates across disciplines, and upholds audience-first and brand standards while communicating proactively and integrating feedback. Through craft excellence, reliability, and a team-first posture, this role advances OSD's mission with purposeful, high-impact creative work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Execution
  • Produce compelling creative assets across a wide range of platforms and events, for Convocation, Campus Community, Liberty Worship Collective, LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Pastoral Counseling & Care.
  • Support OSD Creative staff with discipline-specific assets as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment within brief specifications, deadlines, and budget restrictions.

Craft Excellence & Standards
  • Stay current with creative industry trends, especially those relevant to our target audiences and church/ministry culture.
  • Stay current with industry-standard tools and embrace cutting-edge creative software and workflows, constantly exploring new ways to innovate and push creative forward.
  • Ensure all work reflects audience-first thinking and meets the intent of the brief.

Project Ownership & Execution
  • Own and execute creative projects from start to finish with excellence and accountability with clear file hygiene and organized handoffs.
  • Handle projects with clear vision, strong execution, and thoughtful integration of feedback.
  • Communicate proactively and manage deadlines, deliverables, and expectations.

Initiative & Innovation
  • Bring fresh ideas and improvements to elevate both creative work and team workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
  • Four-year college degree, with a concentration in a relevant creative field preferred.
  • Proficiency in discipline-relevant tools and programs.
  • Communication and operational software and applications in use: Asana, Slack, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, iMessage, and Instagram.

Tier 1
Education and Experience
  • 0-2 years with OSD Creative and consistently delivers high-quality work

Preferred Experience
  • 0-2 years in a professional creative position.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate. Working environment may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
