Job description

DMK Development Group is an industry leading construction and real-estate development firm specializing in senior housing. With over one billion dollars of project experience across 10 states and with our extensive senior housing pipeline, we are looking to add a Project Controller to the team in our Louisville east-end office.

ABOUT YOU:

The primary objective of the Project Controller is to support the project team as the custodian of vendor contract data, cost accounting, and administrative compliance. Along with fundamentals of project billing and contract administration, this role requires continuous monitoring and control of all project cost/administrative variables to ensure timely and accurate information is available to the team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Project Billing

· Coordinate receipt, review, and processing of subcontract pay applications, PO invoices, and back charges in agreement with project budgets
· Research and reconcile invoices that are inconsistent to project budget
· Procure and maintain vendor compliance documents per project and per billing cycle
· Collaborate with vendors and Project Managers to investigate and resolve billing issues
· Basic AP administration and reporting to conclude with weekly funding of vendors

Contract Administration
· Database setup of vendors, terms, etc. upon subcontract and PO issuance
· Sage entry of subcontract and POs in accordance with contract issuance docs
· Electronic filing of subcontract and PO documents in Sage and Procore
· Transmit subcontract and PO docs to vendors and follow up on return when necessary
· Delivery of contract peripherals such as billing schedules and Notice to Proceed upon contract execution
· Assist with investigative and creative ad hoc project reports

WHAT YOU NEED:

The Project Controller must have the ability to recognize and prioritize tasks that need to be completed without direction. They will contribute to ensuring the project team performs as a team by finding opportunities, identifying problems, offering and/or contributing to solutions, and staying focused on the successful completion of each project. This is a highly interactive role that dictates a great deal follow up with others to maintain various cycles of activity. Job cost experience required, construction industry a plus.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and related products.
· Accounting software experience preferably Sage 100.
· Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills.

Salary is commensurate with industry experience.
