POSITION OVERVIEW 

As an Associate Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the creative team to develop impactful and strategic campaigns that effectively communicate healthcare-related messages to target audiences. You will be responsible for combining your creative vision with your in-depth understanding of healthcare nuances to deliver compelling and compliant campaigns. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Creative Directors, Copywriters, Designers, Strategists, Account Managers, and clients, will be essential to ensure the successful execution of projects.

The Associate Creative Director, Copy, will approach every brief with fresh eyes. You will create and inspire work that is superior across all channels, is distinctive, and is famously effective. With a background in copywriting, you will help set creative direction and offer hands-on guidance throughout client team projects, while displaying a cohesive understanding of brand requirements and key market factors. You will execute copy at the highest level, and help team members bring forward their best work, on-time and on-brief.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of each client's brand and the overall healthcare industry by taking a lead role in the briefing, concepting, copy development, and execution of cross-channel initiatives
  • Evidencing a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, terminology, and trends to ensure all creative work meets industry-specific compliance standards while remaining compelling to the target audience.
  • Inspiring copy and creative direction while providing 'hands on' support to the creative team and maintaining an advisory role throughout all projects
  • Displaying highly advanced writing skills in the healthcare space, to effectively present a point of view, using logic, facts (medical and otherwise), and crafting a compelling storyline
  • Researching and developing new tone-of-voice guidelines for brands, as well as writing comprehensive guidelines
  • Collaborating with our Strategy and Account teams to ensure briefs are clear, insightful, and will inspire great creative development. Immersing yourself into the brand strategy and carry it through to the work, so that all of our communications can be smart and effective
  • Participating and/or leading client meetings/presentations and developing client relationships, while stewarding excellent work to market

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • At least 7+ years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record 
  • Agency experience working across all channels 
  • Strong creative portfolio highlighting relevant/category experience, particularly in healthcare and pharma advertising 
  • Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients 
  • Experience managing a creative team, including both copywriters and art directors
