Program Manager Department: Operations/Education
Reports To: Chief Program Officer
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt  
Salary Range: $60 -65K
Position Summary 
The Program Manager supports the Chief Program Officer in the coordination, implementation, and day-to-day management of Peter Paul’s programs. This position provides consistent oversight across multiple program areas, including Youth Education, New Gen, Family and Community Engagement, Older Adult Programming, and related program initiatives. 
The Program Manager helps ensure that programs are organized, engaging, well-coordinated, and implemented in alignment with the vision and priorities established by the Chief Program Officer. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, creative, solutions-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with staff, students, families, and community partners. 
Primary Responsibilities 
  • Partner with the Chief Program Officer to implement program goals, priorities, calendars, and initiatives across Peter Paul’s program areas. 
  • Provide day-to-day management, coordination, and support to Program Coordinators and other assigned program staff. 
  • Help ensure programs are appropriately staffed, scheduled, prepared, and operating efficiently. 
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination across Youth Education, New Gen, Family and Community Engagement, Older Adult Programming, and other program initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the CPO and program staff to develop engaging programming, including New Gen experiences, special initiatives, enrichment opportunities, and program improvements. 
  • Conduct regular program check-ins and walkthroughs to monitor implementation, student engagement, staff support needs, and overall program quality. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication and logistics with community partners, vendors, and program providers. 
  • Support staff onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development in collaboration with the CPO. 
  • Identify operational challenges, communicate concerns proactively, and work collaboratively with the appropriate staff to develop solutions. 
  • Maintain program calendars, schedules, records, documentation, and other systems needed to support effective program implementation. 
  • Support the coordination of special events, field experiences, family activities, student celebrations, and other programmatic initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with other Peter Paul departments to coordinate program spaces, transportation, meals, supplies, facilities, and other operational needs. 
Social Work Program Support 
Within Family and Community Engagement, the Program Manager will support the implementation and ongoing development of Peter Paul’s social work program by: 
  • Providing direct supervision and support to the Social Work Program Coordinator. 
  • Ensuring that the program is implemented consistently and efficiently. 
  • Maintaining appropriate program records and documentation. 
  • Tracking parent and caregiver participation and attendance. 
  • Supporting the collection and organization of program data. 
  • Collaborating with the CPO and Social Work Program Coordinator on program frameworks, procedures, workflows, and continuous improvement. 
  • Helping ensure communication among families, program staff, and organizational leadership remains timely and consistent. 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Youth Development, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 
  • 3–5 years of experience in youth development, education, nonprofit programming, human services, or community-based programming. 
  • Previous experience coordinating programs, projects, teams, or multiple priorities. 
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. 
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. 
  • Experience working with youth, families, community partners, or multidisciplinary teams is strongly preferred.

CPO & Program Manager Partnership 
The Chief Program Officer maintains responsibility for overall program strategy, vision, organizational priorities, major partnerships, outcomes, and executive-level decision-making. 
The Program Manager works collaboratively with the CPO to translate those priorities into effective day-to-day implementation by coordinating staff, programs, schedules, systems, and operational needs across Peter Paul’s program areas.
