Highland House caters to top interior designers and boutique retailers and has become a preeminent fashion leader within the home furnishings industry.
Job description: Highland House is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for design, merchandising, and product development. The Associate Creative Director will support the Creative in guiding and managing the design, merchandising, and development of creative materials from conception to production. A positive attitude, willingness and ability to multitask, and a team-oriented mindset are highly desirable.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Work with Creative Director and President to implement brand strategy and vision for the company.
    Support the Creative Director and President with the development of new product, strategies, and client presentations.
  • Assist in the sourcing and selection of fabric, leather, and trim introductions for the Highland House collection.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on the design, merchandising, and layout of the Highland House showroom in High Point and other trade shows.
  • Write all upholstery and casegoods orders for High Point showroom with the Creative Director and President.
  • Help select paint colors, wall details, flooring details, architectural details for the showroom.
  • Complete CAD drawing of showroom floor plan and submit CAD drawing for proposed wall changes, flooring, details, etc. for contractor proposals.
  • Assist in the sourcing of art, rugs, flowers, and tress for High Point Market and other trade shows.
  • Support the Creative Director in the set up and styling of the High Point showroom and other trade shows.
  • Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities to drive growth.
  • Travel as needed - High Point Market, Interwoven, and other trade shows.
  • Keep up with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies.

Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in the Home Furnishings Industry.
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related program.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing, branding, and design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience with project management.
