Starting Pay & Perks
  • $15.50/hr DOE + $1.50/hr differential bumping up to a $3/hr after one year
  • 20% store discount
  • Paid Time Off
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.
  • Flexible schedules between 4:00 AM - 9:30 PM (typical shifts 4-8 hours)

What You'll Do
  • Inspire and lead in creating a welcoming and positive vibe for every shopper.
  • Oversee and direct Co-op Clerks
  • Be equipped to perform the required tasks of any bargaining unit position, including but not limited to stocking/receiving, cashiering, and buying.
  • Guide shift coverage, assign breaks
  • Support management in identifying needs.
  • Participate in and lead meetings as required.
  • Keep accurate reports following documentation protocols.
  • Deal with complaints and incidents using the Co-op's conflict resolution guidelines.
  • Help us hit our goals for sales, profit, and new members.
  • Run the register: Accurately process transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash with care.
  • Keep shelves stocked: Receive and organize new deliveries, making sure products are rotated and displayed attractively.
  • Uphold our mission and values
  • Follow store policies and food safety standards to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.

Who We're Looking For
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Experience in a grocery or specialty store
  • Genuine enthusiasm for good food, fresh produce, and quality groceries
  • Strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Comfort with physical tasks like lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and moving in a fast-paced environment in and out of various conditions
  • Your interpersonal skills are top-notch, including conflict resolution, creative problem-solving, de-escalation tactics, and critical thinking.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a diverse, collaborative workplace

Extra Plusses (but not required!)
  • Supervisor, key holder, head cashier experience in the Grocery industry.
