What is a creative operations manager?

Creative Operations Managers are professionals responsible for streamlining and optimizing the processes, workflows, and resources within creative teams or agencies. Their main goal is to enhance productivity, ensure timely project delivery, and facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders. They often oversee project management, budgeting, resourcing, and the implementation of best practices, allowing creative teams to focus on producing high-quality work. Creative Operations Managers play a key role in bridging the gap between creativity and operational efficiency.

How does a creative operations manager typically collaborate with creative and non-creative teams to streamline project workflows?

A Creative Operations Manager acts as a bridge between creative teams (like designers, writers, and producers) and non-creative departments (such as marketing, project management, and finance). They facilitate clear communication, set up efficient processes, and ensure everyone is aligned on timelines, resources, and deliverables. By implementing project management tools and standardizing workflows, they help teams avoid bottlenecks and achieve project goals more effectively. Regular status meetings, feedback loops, and performance metrics are common tools they use to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a creative operations manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Operations Manager, you need strong project management skills, a solid understanding of creative processes, and often a degree in marketing, design, or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Trello, digital asset management systems, and workflow automation platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and leadership are crucial soft skills to effectively coordinate teams and manage multiple projects. These skills ensure efficient project delivery, foster team collaboration, and drive the overall success of creative initiatives.

Job description

At Globe, our goal is to create a wonderful world for our people, business, and nation. By uniting people of passion who believe they can make a difference, we are confident that we can achieve this goal.

Job Description GOMO is looking for an App Operations Lead who will own and orchestrate how our offers, campaigns, and features come alive inside the GOMO app.
This new role is about more than just uploading banners. You'll be the visual merchandising owner, campaign conductor, and creative guardian of one of the fastest-growing digital lifestyle apps in the country. From managing homepage real estate to optimizing in-app journeys, you will ensure every offer is surfaced with impact, clarity, and conversion in mind.
If you thrive on combining creative storytelling, data-driven optimization, and flawless execution, this is your chance to shape how millions of users experience GOMO every day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Design & Execution

  • Configure, launch, and QA campaigns in-app (entry conditions, triggers, targeting, frequency).

  • Monitor live campaigns daily for CTR, CVR, bounce rate, and funnel drop-offs.

  • Audit campaign flow logic monthly to refine user journeys and avoid conflicts.

  • Drive quarterly reviews of surfacing strategy and propose optimizations to leadership.

Visual Merchandising & Governance

  • Own homepage banners, tiles, and modals; ensure accurate, timely, and conversion-ready uploads.

  • Maintain a forward calendar of app placements across squads.

  • Enforce visual hierarchy rules (hero promos vs evergreen, Fiber vs Travel vs UNLI).

  • QA all assets before going live to ensure error-free execution.

Creative Strategy & Optimization

  • Brief, QC, and upload assets in collaboration with creative teams and agencies.

  • Run A/B tests on visuals and placements, measuring effectiveness against KPIs.

  • Continuously swap underperforming assets and push rapid iterations.

  • Compile creative learnings and translate them into stronger briefs.

  • Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Align bi-weekly with Product Owners and Portfolio Managers for GTM consistency.

  • Partner monthly with analytics vendors to refine campaign targeting and surfacing logic.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor dashboards daily and push immediate fixes when needed.

  • Share weekly campaign performance updates with Brand and Growth Pods.

  • Consolidate monthly impact reports across sales, engagement, and retention.

  • Present quarterly governance reviews on execution accuracy and conversion performance.
