Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations is responsible for leading the operational framework that enables the successful planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of marketing initiatives across Precision for Medicine. This role oversees marketing workflow management, resource planning, project portfolio governance, vendor coordination, and process optimization to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.

The position also serves as a people leader, responsible for managing, developing, and mentoring members of the Marketing Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

The position serves as the operational hub of the Marketing organization, providing visibility into all active initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring efficient collaboration across marketing, creative, digital, communications, business units, and external partners.

This role combines operational leadership with hands‑on project and program management and is responsible for developing scalable processes that support organizational growth and execution excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Operations Leadership
  • Lead the Marketing Operations function, managing workflows, governance, prioritization frameworks, and operational processes across the Marketing organization
  • Maintain visibility into all marketing initiatives, providing leadership with clear reporting on priorities, capacity, risks, and resource allocation
  • Oversee intake, prioritization, and workload management processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Develop, implement and lead change management efforts to continuously improve operational procedures that increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability
  • Analyze team capacity, resource utilization, and workflow performance to support informed decision‑making
  • Monitor key operational metrics, reporting on team performance, throughput, and delivery effectiveness
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to identify operational gaps and implement solutions that improve execution and collaboration
  • Manage a portfolio of complex marketing initiatives across multiple business units, service lines, and strategic priorities
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of marketing projects, from intake and planning through execution, launch, and post‑project evaluation
  • Facilitate project planning, timeline development, stakeholder alignment, resource coordination, and risk mitigation
  • Partner with Creative, Production, and business stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and oversee conference and event deliverables, ensuring all assets are developed, reviewed, produced, and delivered on time to support successful event execution.
  • Lead regular status meetings and portfolio reviews to ensure project progress, accountability, and transparency
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and changes while escalating critical concerns when necessary
  • Coordinate internal teams and manage external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals
  • Maintain a project management dashboard and other tools that provides visibility into projects in the pipeline and their progress towards key milestones
  • Manage and develop direct reports, supporting professional growth, performance management, and career development
  • Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Partner cross‑functionally with marketing leaders, creative teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to drive successful outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to Marketing leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, program management, or related operational leadership roles
  • Experience leading complex marketing workflows in a matrixed organization
  • Strong knowledge of project management and marketing methodologies, workflow management, and operational best practices
  • Experience implementing and optimizing processes that improve organizational effectiveness and scalability
  • Proven success managing multiple priorities across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with marketing, project management, and work management platforms (Asana, Workfront, HubSpot)
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience managing direct reports and developing high‑performing teams

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
