We are looking for an experienced and visionary Marketing Content Team Leader to lead the content and messaging function within our dynamic in-house creative agency, fishtank.

The Opportunity:

As the Marketing Content Manger at Fisher Investments, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Global Marketing Content, you will be editor-in-chief for all marketing copy. You will set the standard for excellence and guide a talented team of writers and content strategists. You will join the fishtank leadership team, partnering closely with design and project management to lead creative execution and innovation.

This is a role for a leader who is passionate about both the craft of writing, the development of their team and the ongoing evolution of marketing content in the AI age. You will help evolve our brand voice, mentor creative talent, work with agency partners, and improve our marketing.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Be the editor-in-chief for all marketing copy and content, setting quality, clarity and brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching and direction to a diverse team of content strategists, copywriters, agencies and contractors.
  • Assign and manage team workflow, ensuring on-time project delivery and efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, actionable feedback and training that helps writers understand the why behind revisions and continuously improve.
  • Write creative briefs and develop messaging frameworks that guide compelling, on-brand content creation.
  • Evolve and maintain scalable systems, templates, standards and frameworks for consistent, efficient content across markets and campaigns.
  • Step in as a hands-on contributor to model quality, facilitate efficiency and support projects when needed.
  • Champion professional development and mentorship to propel team members' careers forward and foster growth.
  • Help lead the use of new technologies and process improvements, including generative AI, collaboration tools and asset management systems.
  • Partner with other teams and leadership, communicating priorities, resources and creative progress while applying performance data and insights to refine messaging and content strategy.

Your Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading copy, content or content strategy teams at an in-house or creative agency.
  • A proven performance history of developing and mentoring writers and content strategists.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with and a deep understanding of brand voice.
  • Experience creating and implementing messaging frameworks and content strategies for multi-channel campaigns.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence across a range of short- and long-form copy formats.
  • An inspiring leader who knows ways to motivate a creative team.
  • Must demonstrate strong understanding of financial services/investing concepts and vocabulary.
  • Comfortable with marketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma and generative AI.

Compensation:

  • $105,000 - $140,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
