Duration: 2026-27 AHL Season (September through April)
Status: Part-Time / Seasonal

Role Summary:
This part-time position will work in tandem with both the Creative Services and Event Presentation Departments to produce video and animation content for the IceHogs on the in-arena video board, ribbon board display panels, and digital dasher boards, and for use in social media and marketing platforms. This position will work approximately 30 hours a week during the hockey season (September-April) and would work either in our offices in Rockford, IL, or on-site when necessary and be a member of the weekly all-staff meetings. There will also be game night responsibilities for this position. Ideal candidate has demonstrative success in video production and would have at least 1 year of experience working with a college or professional sports team, or in a television, agency or other related field and can work independently or in cooperation with others. Skills needed include knowledge of setting up and operating on-location video shoots, operating a camera, video lighting set up and the proper use of audio equipment. Additional skills required for the role include the knowledge of creating motion graphics, edit video and create still graphics while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Demo reel is required. Sports video production experience not required by highly recommended.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide video production, motion graphics and still graphic design support for the department
  • Attend weekly department and all-staff meetings either in-person or virtually
  • Creating content for the videoboard, ribbon boards and digital dasher boards
  • Shooting video highlights at most home games
  • Shooting photography at home games when needed
  • Be available to assist with event presentation and/or creative services duties on gamedays
  • Assist in the maintenance of video equipment and props in the department

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience shooting video both in-studio and on-location
  • Working knowledge of field production, including lighting and audio
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent), Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
  • Must have a resume reel of your video work that highlights your skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work quickly in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • Able to periodically work nights and weekends
  • Pursuit of or having a degree in Video Production or Visual Arts is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working in professional sports or related field creating video, digital and motion graphics is preferred
