Creative Managers often serve as the bridge between creative teams and other departments, such as marketing, product development, and sales. They are responsible for translating project goals into actionable creative strategies, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, and facilitating clear communication across teams. This involves regular meetings, feedback sessions, and collaborative planning to deliver cohesive campaigns or products. Job description

At Bath & Body Works, we believe everybody deserves to feel good. When you join us, you're part of more than an iconic fragrance and personal care brand - you become part of Gingham Nation, where people are at the center of everything we do.

We believe great associate experiences create great consumer experiences. When our associates feel supported, inspired and empowered, consumers feel it. Whether you're starting your career or building your next chapter, we invest in your growth so you can learn, lead and help create feel good moments every day.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a rebuild, reimagine, and relaunch role. We are rebranding a beloved, category-defining consumer brand known for fragrance, home, and personal care — evolving it from a traditional mall retailer into a modern brand beacon with cultural relevance, emotional resonance, and digital-first storytelling at its core.

We are seeking a Director-level Creative Leader to own and elevate our social ecosystem — someone who brings fresh air, bold thinking, and proven leadership to inspire both an internal creative team and a global customer base. You will report directly to the SVP of Creative Marketing and play a critical role in shaping the future voice, look, and energy of the brand across social platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the Creative Vision for Social:

  • Define and evolve the creative strategy across all social channels, ensuring alignment with the broader brand transformation.
  • Translate brand pillars into compelling, culturally fluent social storytelling.
  • Balance aspiration with accessibility — driving both brand heat and commercial performance.

Be a Change Agent:

  • Question legacy thinking and introduce new ways of working, crafting, and collaborating.
  • Act as a catalyst for cultural shift — internally and externally.
  • Bring outside-in inspiration from fashion, beauty, culture, design, and digital innovation.

Own the Social Ecosystem & Agency Partnerships:

  • Oversee creative output across platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, emerging channels).
  • Serve as the primary creative point of contact for external agencies, production partners, and creators.
  • Brief, review, and elevate agency work — ensuring it meets brand standards, business objectives, and creative excellence.
  • Partner closely with Social Strategy, Marketing, Product, PR, and E-Commerce teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Know when to employ agencies for scale and specialization, and when to build internally.

Drive Relevance & Results:

  • Use insights, trends, and performance data to inform creative direction without losing instinct.
  • Ensure content feels current, intentional, and emotionally engaging.
  • Champion storytelling that builds community, loyalty, and brand love — not just likes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of creative experience, with significant leadership at the Director level or above.
  • Proven experience leading social creative at scale for a well-known brand with a portfolio that shows brand-building, not just content-making.
  • Comfortable partnering with and leading external agencies; prior agency experience or extensive client-side agency management required.
  • Demonstrated success driving brand evolution through social-first creative, strategic problem solver with strong taste, editorial judgment, and cultural proficiency.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, transformation, and with access to equally adept at concepting big ideas and guiding day-to-day execution
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, formats, and creator ecosystems.
  • Ability to articulate creative vision clearly to senior leadership with hands-on experience briefing, managing, and elevating creative agencies.
  • Experienced people manager who has successfully built and led creative teams through development, coaching and mentorship to an in-house multi-disciplinary team.
  • Passion for fragrance, home, beauty, or lifestyle categories is a plus.
