Job description

What you will do
  • Supporting plant objectives in creation of videos, articles and materials - with validation of information through interaction with employees and Communications Team.   
  • Build on campaigns with creative writing, videography and photography to support journey to engage and create sense of Volvo Family 
  • Collaborate with Communications team, business teams and plant personal to accent/inspire positive Volvo cultural for better business results.   
  • Create and optimize engaging content by assisting, developing and creating media content  
  • Utilize MicroSoft bundles: Indesign, production software, basic knowledge of systems including PCs, photography, video and plasmas, printing and production of signs and banners. 
  • Skills and Responsibilities: 
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking. 
  • Ability to utilize photography, videography and to produce video for inhouse and social media.    
  • Ability to tailor communication style based on the platform and audience 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism 
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision 
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Working knowledge of professional Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, including advertising opportunities 
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva preferred, but not required 
Who are you?
  • Minimum Education Requirements: 
    Applicants must be pursuing a business, marketing, or communication at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the intern program.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75. 
  • Fall interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
  • Intern/Co-Op positions must upload an unofficial transcript when submitting an application as this is a requirement.
