Job description

Immediate opening –Immigration law firm in Sandy Springs/Perimeter area seeks Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in family or business immigration.  Work will focus on general, non-removal defense immigration, primarily family-based immigration, consular and immigrant visa processing, waivers of inadmissibility, and naturalization matters.

Our firm serves a wide variety of corporate and individual clients worldwide.  For individual clients, we customize immigration solutions for personal and business growth, international mobility, and for maintaining family unity through both nonimmigrant and immigrant strategies.  On the corporate side we ensure that businesses - from publicly traded multinationals to one-owner start-ups - can meet their growth and staffing needs with appropriate visas and immigration strategies for professionals, investors, managers, and executives.  Our practice is a marriage of corporate and family matters which focuses on high quality rather than high volume output.  Our approach is to use both employment and family-based immigration strategies to meet our clients' needs.

In your position as Associate Attorney you will work on a variety of primarily family and permanent residency immigration matters.  Projects would include managing our paralegals engaged in adjustments of status and consular immigrant visa processing, drafting responses to requests for evidence (RFE), and preparing clients for overseas consular interviews.  Our firm handles immigrant and nonimmigrant waivers of inadmissibility, DACA, and all types of family immigration matters.  Litigation experience is not applicable to this position as we do not handle any cases in immigration court.

Our employees work in a team environment, but autonomously.  Here you will have the perfect environment to further extend your immigration knowledge with mentorship from the Senior Attorney with 30 years of immigration experience who has a creative, out of the box approach at solving challenges.

The expertise we are looking for:

•         You have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school

•         You are licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia

•         Knowledge and comprehension of the Spanish language is an asset and added value

The skills and assets you will bring:

•         Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English

•         Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite

•         Aptitude to manage caseload and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment

•         Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new things with a responsive, compassionate, and professional approach towards client needs

•         Ability to adhere to deadlines and quick turnarounds

•         A respectful, courteous attitude

•         Strong organizational skills and with attention to detail

•         Leadership skills and with a sense of humor, patience with bureaucracy, and a can-do attitude

•         Knowledge of practice management software (LawLogix) will be considered a plus

Salary is commensurate with experience.  Benefits include health, dental and vision, paid vacation days, and a fun environment to work in.  This is an in-office position.
