Job description

Project Engineer This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled engineering professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment at the Project Engineer level to help successfully deliver Muller's numerous projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. Muller Engineering Company is located in Lakewood, CO, where team members have the opportunity to collaborate in person.

Our employees follow a hybrid work schedule, with the majority of employees based throughout Colorado's Front Range. We welcome applicants from across the continental United States, with a preference for those located in Colorado or willing to relocate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform engineering design and analysis for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

Prepare studies, reports, calculations, plans, specifications, construction documents, cost estimates, and other technical deliverables. Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects. Lead design efforts and take ownership of assigned projects and project components from start to finish.

Guide and mentor design engineers, junior engineers, and technicians on technical and project-related tasks. Support Project Managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, subconsultant coordination, project schedules, budgets, and other project management responsibilities. Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders as needed.

Perform field observation and construction engineering support when necessary. Apply applicable engineering standards, criteria, specifications, and agency requirements throughout project development. Assist with quality control and quality assurance of engineering deliverables.

Other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field from an accredited college or university; advanced degree a plus. approximately 4-10 years of relevant civil engineering design and project experience. Experience preparing engineering plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and other technical deliverables

Knowledge of and experience with engineering design software applicable to the candidate's discipline, such as AutoCAD civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or other industry-standard programs. Familiarity with applicable local, state, and federal design standards and agency requirements. Experience working on multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with internal and external project teams.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills and a desire to grow personally and professionally.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accountability. Experience with project management, client coordination, and/or construction engineering is a plus. Required License or Certification: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado, ability to transfer a license from another state, or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within an agreed-upon timeframe after employment.
