About the Role

The Creative Director reports directly to the President and will ensure that everything we put into the world is recognizable and unmistakably aligned with our brand promise: “It’s a Richardson.” They will lead the evolution of how Richardson shows up visually, responsible for refining and strengthening our existing creative foundation into a more focused, consistent visual expression of the values our fans recognize in us — fit, shape, and how our products look when worn—into a cohesive and compelling visual system across every touchpoint.


This position is fully on-site at our Springfield, OR headquarters.


What You’ll Do

  • Advance the Brand Vision

Evolve and sharpen Richardson’s creative direction by building upon what already works, creating a cohesive and enduring visual.

  • Own Visual Consistency Across Channels

Ensure all creative output—marketing, product merchandising, B2B materials, digital experiences, campaigns, trade show booths and brand assets—feels distinctly and recognizably Richardson.

  • Translate Brand Values Into Visual Expression

Bring the spirit behind “It’s a Richardson” to life by reflecting what customers consistently praise: fit, form, quality, and confidence when they wear our products.

  • Lead, Inspire, Produce, and Deliver Creative Execution

Provide strong creative leadership and direction to internal teams and external partners, setting clear standards while allowing room for creativity and innovation. Be a hands-on producer of exceptional design output.

  • Balance Brand and Business Needs

Collaborate closely with marketing, product, sales, and leadership teams to ensure creative solutions support both B2B and consumer audiences while driving business goals.

  • Build for Longevity

Develop systems, tools, and processes that allow the brand to scale while maintaining consistency, quality, and relevance over time.


Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or senior creative leader within consumer, lifestyle, apparel, or brand-driven organizations
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating brand evolution, not just campaign-based work
  • Deep understanding of visual identity systems and how they function across multiple channels
  • Advanced skills using graphic design applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Ability to translate intangible brand values into clear, compelling creative output
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • 10 years of progressive management and leadership experience
  • Experience working with both B2B and consumer audiences is a plus
