The Position

The Client Acquisition Strategist is responsible for driving new business growth by combining strategic marketing expertise with client-facing sales and business development efforts. This role is ideal for a versatile, senior-level strategist who thrives in a creative agency environment and wears multiple hats-serving as a strategist, advisor, and trusted voice in client acquisition.


Client Acquisition Strategist plays a pivotal role in articulating Anvil Northwest's value proposition, presenting strategic vision to prospective clients, and positioning the company as a long-term creative partner. By leveraging thought leadership, market insight, and strategic storytelling, this role helps attract, secure, and grow high-value client relationships.

Client Acquisition & New Business Development

  • Drive new business opportunities through strategic outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Work directly with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and position Anvil Northwest services as strategic solutions.
  • Support proposal development, pitches, and presentations that communicate both creative excellence and business impact.
  • Partner with leadership to identify target markets, priority industries, and growth opportunities.

Strategic Leadership & Value Proposition

  • Articulate the company's unique value proposition clearly and persuasively in client meetings and sales conversations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert who can present the business case, long-term vision, and strategic thinking behind creative solutions.
  • Elevate sales conversations beyond traditional pitches by leading with insight, strategy, and outcomes.

Thought Leadership & Strategy as a Sales Tool

  • Develop and present strategic materials-such as workshops, discovery sessions, white papers, and strategic frameworks-that demonstrate the agency's capabilities.
  • Use early-stage strategy work as a tool to build trust, establish credibility, and secure long-term client partnerships.
  • Represent Anvil Northwest at industry events, presentations, and client meetings as a strategic authority.

Campaign Strategy & Brand Positioning

  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure acquisition efforts align with brand positioning and messaging.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice and strategic narrative across all client-facing materials.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to refine acquisition strategies.

Collaboration with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing & Branding, creative director, designers, and project manager to align new business efforts with internal capabilities.
  • Translating clients' needs into strategic direction for internal teams during early project phases.
  • Support smooth handoff from sales to delivery by providing strategic context and vision.

Performance Tracking & Growth Optimization

  • Track and report on key acquisition metrics such as lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition strategies and refine approaches to maximize long-term value.

Requirements
