Job description

KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska is hiring an Executive Producer who is creative and passionate about helping our audience and someone who is not afraid to take chances.

The Executive Producer will lead and grow the team across all broadcast and digital platforms. We’re looking for a true journalist, who has a storytelling spirit and organizational skills that shine. It is a great first step into leadership.

You will help develop a winning multi-platform morning strategy with a focus on local journalism and great content. The EP will coach and mentor our morning team members.

Top candidates will have strong editorial judgment and leadership skills — and must be passionate about winning breaking news and weather. The Executive Producer collaborates with the entire news management team to execute strategic coverage and innovate storytelling both on-air and online.
