Marketing & Communications Specialist

Harrison Contracting Company is looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist who can help tell our story, strengthen our brand, and support business growth through creative content, social media, marketing campaigns, and community engagement. This role works closely with leadership, business development, operations, and other teams to highlight the work we do, the customers we serve, and the people who make it happen.

What You'll Do

Create Content That Matters

  • Develop content that showcases projects, customers, employees, community partnerships, and company culture.
  • Capture photos and video at jobsites, events, and company activities.
  • Write and create content for social media, marketing campaigns, presentations, recruiting efforts, and company communications.
  • Help plan and coordinate video and media projects from concept through completion.
Support Marketing & Business Development
  • Assist with marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and print channels.
  • Develop project profiles, customer success stories, capability materials, and presentation content.
  • Support proposal development, customer-facing marketing efforts, and relationship-building activities.
  • Help promote HCC's services, expertise, and brand in the markets we serve.
Manage Social Media & Brand Presence
  • Manage day-to-day social media activity across multiple platforms.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and monitor engaging content.
  • Track performance metrics and identify opportunities to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Help ensure all content and materials align with HCC brand standards.
Coordinate Branding & Community Engagement
  • Support trade shows, customer events, recruiting events, sponsorships, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate branded apparel, promotional items, business cards, signage, and marketing materials.
  • Help maintain onboarding welcome kits and other branded employee materials.
  • Capture and share content that strengthens HCC's presence in the communities we serve.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, social media management, content creation, public relations, employer branding, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience developing and managing content across multiple communication channels.
  • Experience creating social media, video, photography, and digital communication content.
  • Strong writing, communication, storytelling, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation tools preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees, customers, community partners, and leadership.
  • Construction, industrial, skilled trades, or blue-collar industry experience is a plus.
