Job description

POSITION: Creative Content Intern
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Communications
REPORTS TO: Marketing Activation Coordinator andCommunications & Digital Media Coordinator
STATUS: Internship, Unpaid (In-Person) - Fall
SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in graphic design and creative content. The role supports the Communications & Marketing department by assisting with visual storytelling for Orange Bowl programming, events, and brand initiatives. The intern will help produce visual content that enhances the organization's digital presence and overall brand identity. This position is an unpaid internship, and college credit may be available if approved by the intern's college or university.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Intern will learn and be exposed to:
  • Assist in designing graphics for social media, website, email campaigns, printed materials, and event signage in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Support the capture and editing of photo and video content from Orange Bowl events and community programs.
  • Assist with editing video content for promotional, highlight, and recap purposes using Adobe Premiere (or similar software).
  • Collaborate with the team to support visual content creation for marketing campaigns and storytelling efforts.
  • Help organize and create photo galleries from events and assist with timely publishing.
  • Assist in the creation of motion graphics and short-form videos optimized for digital platforms.
  • Support real-time content creation during live events through photography and video capture.
  • Research current visual design trends and share ideas to keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Provide support for basic social media content needs, with a focus on visual production.
  • Assist in ensuring visual assets meet internal standards for quality and consistency.
  • Support OBIE mascot appearances and promotional activations, including portraying OBIE at events as needed.
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.

PREREQUISITES
  • Pursuing a degree and/or career in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Production, or related field a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative graphic design and video editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Experience with photography and videography, including shooting, lighting, and editing.
  • Motivated, highly organized, and collaborative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and transport media equipment, if needed.
  • Valid Driver's License

Note:Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20-30 hours a week consistent with academic demands/schedule. Ability to work weekends and around holidays is a requirement for this role.
