Job Description 

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating procurement of direct materials, production scheduling for molding operations, and storage and control of components and MRO items within tool crib operations at Creative Liquid Coatings, Inc. This role ensures uninterrupted material flow, accurate demand planning, inventory optimization, and on‐time customer delivery while supporting operational excellence, cost control, and compliance with IATF and MMOG requirements. The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Suppliers to ensure supply chain activities support safety, quality, delivery, and profitability objectives. 

Roles and Responsibilities 
Customer Delivery & Demand Management 

• Achieve and maintain a 100% on‐time delivery rating to all customers. 
• Ensure customer purchase orders and cumulative totals are maintained accurately. 
• Verify EDI demand data accurately reflects customer requirements. 
• Track build‐out cumulative totals to ensure zero obsolescence. 
• Prevent premium freight costs due to late shipments or planning failures. 

Materials Planning & Procurement 

• Analyze material demand and establish reorder points to ensure continuous supply. 
• Ensure system inventory levels, pricing, and part master data accuracy. 
• Issue and manage spot‐buy and blanket purchase orders. 
• Assign and manage storage locations for all purchased materials, including:  
• Resins 
• Colorants 
• Packaging 
• Components 
• MRO items 
• Ensure all materials routed to tool cribs are:  
• Received accurately and promptly 
• Correctly transacted in IQMS 
• Properly labeled with CLC part identification 

Production Scheduling & Execution 

• Develop and manage the production scheduling process for molding operations. 
• Ensure effective communication with production and operations teams. 
• Maintain accurate work‐in‐progress reporting and real‐time production status. 
• Proactively resolve production scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints. 
• Conduct bi‐weekly capacity planning reviews with cross‐functional teams. 
• Minimize operational risk while maximizing efficiency and profitability. 

Inventory Management & Continuous Improvement 

• Set and maintain inventory levels to support plant inventory and working capital goals. 
• Reduce excess inventory through PFEP (Plan for Every Part) and Lean Manufacturing strategies. 
• Develop, maintain, and report inventory cycle count processes and results. 
• Participate in and support monthly or quarterly physical inventories. 
• Ensure IQMS data accuracy related to:  
• On‐hand balances 
• Negative inventory 
• Scrap reporting 
• Customer returns 
• Intercompany transfers 

Supplier & Cost Management 

• Meet with suppliers to resolve issues and develop effective working relationships. 
• Interface with Accounting, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production to establish and maintain standard costs. 
• Monitor, analyze, and report material cost variances. 
• Support cost reduction initiatives and material savings opportunities. 

Leadership, Compliance & Governance 

• Provide direct leadership to:  
• Buyers / Material Analysts 
• Production Schedulers 
• Customer Service Representatives 
• Establish goals and objectives for direct reports and conduct annual performance reviews. 
• Administer discipline in accordance with company policies. 
• Update A3 metrics monthly in coordination with the Materials Manager. 
• Ensure assigned Layered Process Audits (LPAs) are conducted as scheduled. 
• Support internal and external audits, including IATF 16949 and MMOG. 

Skill and Education Requirements 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 
• Extensive experience in:  
• Purchasing and procurement 
• Inventory control 
• Production planning / scheduling 
• MRP systems 
• Minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience. 
• Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to positively influence performance. 
• Ability to cultivate strong supplier relationships. 
• Proficiency with:  
• IQMS or similar MRP/ERP systems 
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) 
• Microsoft Project 
• Microsoft Access 
• Crystal Reports 
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem‐solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and cross‐functionally in a team environment. 
• Self‐motivated and goal‐driven with strong accountability. 

Work Environment 

• Work is performed primarily in an office setting with regular interaction in plant/manufacturing areas. 
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and fumes. 
• Noise levels typically low to moderate. 
• Climate‐controlled office environment with periodic manufacturing floor exposure. 
• Typical schedule consists of 8–10 hours per day, five days per week. 
• Occasional domestic and international travel required, sometimes on short notice. 
• Required use of appropriate PPE when in designated manufacturing areas.

Physical Demands
