Job description

SKIMS is a solutions-oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear, shapewear, and essentials. We are setting new standards by delivering technically innovative, comfort-driven products with elevated design for everybody.
At the intersection of culture, innovation, and commerce, SKIMS is a global brand redefining modern apparel. Our teams are built on creativity, collaboration, and operational excellence, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment where ambitious, curious, and values-driven individuals can do the best work of their careers.
As we continue to scale globally, our HQ teams play a critical role in shaping strategy, building world-class infrastructure, and driving sustainable growth across markets.

The Role

We're looking for a Head of Creative Production to own the end-to-end production. This is a senior leadership role sitting at the intersection of creative vision and operational execution.
You'll partner closely with our Creative team and Brand team to bring ambitious ideas to life across campaigns, editorial, e-commerce, video, and social content - including our high-profile collaboration with Nike. You'll lead a team of producers and production coordinators, manage a complex network of external partners, and build the systems that allow SKIMS to produce world-class creative without sacrificing speed or agility.

What You'll Do

Production Leadership

  • Own the full production lifecycle across photo, video, digital campaigns, and e-commerce - from brief through final delivery
  • Oversee all e-commerce production, ensuring consistent output, quality, and efficiency that keeps pace with SKIMS' high-velocity product cadence
  • Lead, mentor, and scale an in-house production team; identify when and how to bring in external production partners, studios, and vendors
  • Manage relationships with photographers, directors, stylists, post-production houses, and other key creative vendors
  • Oversee talent and location logistics for high-profile campaign shoots, including celebrity and athlete talent with complex scheduling and contractual requirements

Creative & Brand Partnership

  • Partner deeply with the Creative and Brand teams from the earliest stages of concepting through final delivery - acting as the operational backbone that makes bold creative ideas executable
  • Ensure every produced asset, from major campaign shoots to fast-turn social content, reflects the SKIMS aesthetic and upholds brand standards
  • Collaborate with creative leadership on resource planning, production feasibility, and how to evolve the visual language of the brand through production choices

NikeSkims Collaboration

  • Serve as the lead production partner on NikeSkims, managing all aspects of campaign and content production for the collaboration
  • Build and maintain a strong, trust-based working relationship with the Nike production and creative teams - acting as a respectful, solutions-oriented partner who understands the weight and complexity of working with a global brand at Nike's scale
  • Navigate the unique operational and approval requirements of a co-branded partnership, ensuring both brands' standards, timelines, and creative vision are honored throughout production
  • Align on production processes, workflows, and deliverable specifications with Nike counterparts, and proactively communicate to keep both sides moving efficiently and collaboratively
  • Represent SKIMS with professionalism and partnership at every touchpoint - from early planning calls to on-set execution to final asset delivery

Workflow & Process

  • Continuously evaluate and evolve production workflows to keep pace with the brand's growth - identifying inefficiencies, piloting new approaches, and building scalable infrastructure across all content types
  • Build and manage production budgets across all creative workstreams, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and spend is tracked with rigor
  • Partner with the creative, marketing, and brand teams to develop production timelines that protect creative integrity while meeting aggressive go-to-market schedules

Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure all productions are fully compliant with California labor laws, including proper crew classification, wage and hour requirements, and on-set working conditions
  • Serve as the primary production liaison with the Legal team, proactively flagging risk areas and ensuring contracts, releases, and usage rights are airtight across all productions
  • Manage all SAG-AFTRA requirements when working with union talent - including proper signatory status, session fees, residuals tracking, and adherence to SAG working rules on set
  • 10+ years of creative production experience, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership role; fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brand experience strongly preferred
  • A proven track record producing high-profile campaigns involving celebrity or athlete talent
  • Deep fluency in both large-scale editorial/campaign production and high-velocity e-commerce and digital content production
  • Experience working within co-branded or licensed partnerships, and the interpersonal skills to be an excellent cross-company collaborator - particularly in environments with large, structured brand partners
  • Thorough working knowledge of California labor law as it applies to commercial and fashion production, and hands-on experience navigating SAG-AFTRA agreements
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Legal teams on contracts, talent agreements, and risk management
  • Exceptional budget management skills - you can build a budget from scratch, manage it in real time, and find efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Strong relationships across the LA and NYC production ecosystem: photographers, directors, casting, post-production, studios
  • A calm, solutions-first presence under pressure - you've run shoots that go sideways and you know how to course-correct without losing the room
  • A builder's mentality - you're never satisfied with "how we've always done it" and are always looking for smarter, faster, better ways to produce

What Sets This Apart
This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage process from a distance. SKIMS moves fast, we have high standards, and we work on creative that genuinely breaks through. You'll have real creative partnership, real resources, and the opportunity to build something lasting at one of the most culturally relevant brands in the world - including a front-row seat to one of the most anticipated collaborations in fashion and sport.
