Job description

Summary of Responsibility:

Responsible for assisting in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing and directing the activity programs to ensure that the spiritual development, emotional, recreational and social needs of the residents are maintained on an individual basis.

Duties:

  1. Set up and carry out activities as planned by Activity Director
  2. Clean Activity room between activities
  3. Go to apartments to invite residents to activities and assist in getting them back to apartments
  4. Attend Activity Planning meeting with Activity Director
  5. Assist volunteers with activities
  6. Assist with cleaning the bus
  7. Transportation as needed
  8. Observe residents for changes in condition and report to Activity Director
  9. Continue all activities in the Absence of the Director
  10. Help with putting up and taking down of holiday themes
  11. Notify care staff of nursing needs
  12. Attend all staff meetings

Education and Experience:

  1. Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
  2. Must possess, as a minimum, a high school degree or equivalent.
  3. One (1) year experience in working with elderly desired.
  4. Must have Chauffeur's License.
  5. Should have creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts and games.
