Dermalogica is seeking an Assistant Brand Manager, Professional.

Dermalogica is looking for a highly motivated strategic, analytical, and creative Assistant Brand Manager to join our Canadian Marketing team. The individual in this position will be responsible for supporting brand strategy development, spearheading the execution of B2B marketing programs, and merchandising while leading cross-functional teams. Under the direction of the Brand Manager, this role is expected to not only drive and implement brand plans but also to identify and validate opportunities to achieve growth objectives in the Canadian market. A high degree of project management skills and attention to detail is required.

What you will do:


To carry out a varied selection of duties within the Marketing department but not limited to:

  • Supports the Brand Manager in the strategic development and execution of annual Marketing plans including new product launches, trade promotions, visual merchandising, and advertising for the professional channel
  • Measures and reports performance of executions, assessing against clear goals (ROI and set KPIs)
  • Shares insights with stakeholders while actioning learnings to further drive growth of the business
  • Identifies blank space opportunities through sales data, competitive insights/trends, new product information, etc.
  • Participates in the planning and directing of brand image consistency in visual merchandising, brand/promotional materials, and activations
  • Assists in managing overall brand health and leading SKU management through ownership of new SKU creation procedures, price list and order forms
  • Manages launch adaptation from global assets to local market relevance and activation
  • Supports material development for English and French Canada including point of sale displays, sales presenters, education calendars, event support, collateral, etc.
  • Ensures strong merchandising tools are implemented at the skin centre level
  • Leads communication for professional channel with the development and distribution of the monthly Profit Flash, PRO Flash, and e-blasts
  • Collaborates with the digital team to aid in the development of the social media calendar and content creation
  • Partners with PR to stay abreast of earned, organic and press activity to share with the professional community
  • Works with the Education team to ensure that product training pieces are effectively rolled out to accounts and their Professional Skin Therapists
  • Coordinates all promotional updates to B2B order management system with e-commerce team
  • Supports the sales team with new business prospecting initiatives and develop tools as needed
  • Takes ownership of projects from concept through execution, overcoming obstacles and driving solutions.
  • Independently manages competing priorities and project timelines while ensuring key business objectives are met.
  • Proactively identifies business opportunities, risks, and process improvements, bringing forward recommendations and action plans.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing dialogue with U.S. and International marketing counterparts to leverage brand and project harmonization
  • Assists the Brand Manager with forecast planning for B launches and promotional activities
  • Tracks competitor activity as well as category trends and provides feedback internally
  • Visits accounts and attends business events to gain a deeper understanding of the market


What we need from you:


  • Undergraduate degree (Business, Marketing, or related field)
  • 2-4 years of brand management experience preferably in B2B or professional channel environment (prestige/luxury beauty is ideal)
  • Exceptional English verbal/written communication and presentation skills; French bilingual a plus but not essential
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of independence and resilience
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to confidently communicate recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible and adaptable mindset
  • Professional with strong project management skills; ability to think critically and creatively
  • High level of accuracy; able to detect inconsistencies and errors with keen attention to detail
  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills; ability to gather critical data, translate analysis of an opportunity to resulting goals, and develop POV/recommendation
  • Positive attitude with an excitement for learning; open to new experiences and challenges
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Tableau, PowerBI, Klavyio and SketchUp is an asset
  • Must live in the greater Toronto area.
