Job description

Location: Santa Ana, California - On-site, 5 days/week
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000

About Us

eJam is a bootstrapped consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands - all without ever taking a dollar of outside capital. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We're not a startup hoping something works. We're a team that has done it repeatedly - taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small team, no bureaucracy, massive ownership.

This is the place where you'll see the entire machine - sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail - all under one roof. If you want to learn how consumer products actually get built and shipped at scale, there is no faster education than this.

About the Role

Ejam is seeking a Senior Creative Strategist to lead performance-driven creative for one of our fastest-scaling brands. This role is ideal for a strategist who lives at the intersection of creative storytelling, paid media performance, and rapid experimentation.

You'll own the strategic direction behind our video and static ad creative - from concept development to performance optimization - working closely with video editors, graphic designers, a project manager, and freelance copywriters to produce high-volume, high-impact creative that drives growth.

This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership: your ideas will ship fast, get tested in-market, and be judged by performance.

What You'll DoOwn Creative Strategy & Direction
  • Lead the end-to-end creative strategy for paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
  • Develop high-converting angles, hooks, narratives, and concepts rooted in customer insights, product benefits, and performance data.
  • Set creative direction that balances brand consistency with direct-response effectiveness.
Lead Cross-Functional Creative Execution
  • Act as the strategic lead for a pod consisting of video editors, graphic designers, and copywriters.
  • Provide clear creative briefs, examples, and feedback that elevate execution quality and speed.
  • Collaborate closely with a Project Manager to prioritize initiatives, manage timelines, and maintain creative velocity.
  • Partner with freelance creatives as needed to scale production.
Performance Analysis & Iteration
  • Analyze creative performance using Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads to identify winning patterns and areas for optimization.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable creative iterations - messaging, structure, pacing, visuals, and formats.
  • Own the creative testing roadmap and continuously push new hypotheses into market.
Platform & Trend Leadership
  • Stay ahead of evolving platform trends, ad formats, creator styles, and competitive activity.
  • Apply trends strategically - not reactively - ensuring they align with brand voice and performance goals.
  • Bring fresh thinking to creative formats, storytelling approaches, and testing methodologies.
Strategic Impact & Mentorship
  • Influence broader creative and growth strategy through insights, learnings, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to creative playbooks, frameworks, and best practices as the team scales.
  • Mentor junior strategists and elevate creative thinking across the team.

Requirements

Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in performance-driven creative strategy, ideally in DTC or growth marketing environments.
  • Proven track record of developing paid social creative that scales.
  • Deep understanding of direct-response marketing principles and creative testing.
  • Strong ability to connect performance data to creative decisions.
  • Experience leading or heavily influencing cross-functional creative teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in health, wellness, or supplement brands.
  • Familiarity with UGC-style ads, testimonials, and creator-led content.
  • Copywriting or scripting experience.
  • Experience working with freelance creative talent.
Why This Role
  • Real ownership over creative strategy - not just execution
  • Fast feedback loop between creative ideas and performance data
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-leading brand
  • Collaborative, performance-focused creative culture

Benefits

  • Health, Dental & Vision
  • 401k Plan
  • Quarterly Performance Bonus
  • Team Outings & Events
  • Amazing, pet-friendly, office environment
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • High-ownership role with direct impact on growth and creative direction
