The Creative Director leads creative production and content execution within the Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role translates marketing strategy, brand priorities, and business objectives into compelling content across digital, social, web, print, video, events, and sales-support channels. This position ensures Conn Selmer's brands are presented clearly, consistently, and effectively across all touchpoints.
The Creative Director oversees day-to-day creative execution, establishes standards and workflows, and leads content development that builds brand affinity while driving awareness, engagement, and sales support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader who can take strategic direction and move projects from concept through completion. This individual must be highly fluent in social media, digital content, and creative production, with the ability to lead people, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment.
Responsibilities:
Creative and Content Leadership
  • Translate marketing strategy into clear creative direction, production plans, and finished deliverables.
  • Lead creative execution across Conn Selmer's global brand portfolio, ensuring content supports brand affinity, awareness, engagement, and sales objectives.
  • Establish creative standards, templates, formatting guidelines, workflows, and approval processes that ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and quality across channels.

Social Media and Digital Content
  • Lead execution of global social media content across paid and organic channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, marketing priorities, and business objectives.
  • Standardize social media formats, templates, visual identity, cadence, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Oversee content development for product launches, events, artists, educators, partnerships, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
  • Guide development of short- and long-form video content for social, web, email, events, and sales enablement.
  • Partner with web and digital team to ensure cohesive storytelling and presentation across owned channels.

Photography, Video, and Production
  • Oversee product photography and video content supporting product launches, education and training initiatives, corporate communications, brand storytelling, and campaign assets.
  • Develop and guide creative briefs, scripts, shot lists, shoot direction, production logistics, and final delivery.
  • Manage internal and external production resources to deliver creative projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure creative assets are developed for efficient use across multiple brands, channels, and markets.

Team and Workflow Management
  • Lead and develop team supporting social media, photography, videography, and related content production.
  • Build and manage scalable workflows, production calendars, approval standards, and asset organization.
  • Manage priorities, timelines, stakeholders, production schedules, and creative resources to deliver high-quality assets on time and within budget.
  • Partner with internal teams to support sales tools, dealer resources, product launches, tradeshows, events, and customer-facing content.
  • Use content performance, stakeholder feedback, and business priorities to improve creative execution, workflows, formats, and future content development.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in creative production, digital marketing, or related creative roles.
  • Experience leading creative teams and production workflows in a fast-moving marketing environment.
  • Experience overseeing video production, product photography, social media, digital content, and campaign asset development.
  • Proven ability to translate marketing strategy into clear creative direction and high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong creative judgment for brand consistency, visual identity, storytelling, and content formatting.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including creative briefs, scripts, and campaign messaging.
  • Demonstrated project management, including timelines, priorities, budgets, stakeholders, and production.
  • Ability to build and improve creative workflows, templates, standards, asset libraries, and production processes in a resource-conscious environment.
  • Experience in music, consumer goods, dealer/distributor environments, or global brand portfolios preferred.
  • Flexibility to support production schedules and events, including occasional evening or weekend work, with travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the role, including extended periods of sedentary work, standing during shoots or events, and occasional lifting or transporting equipment or materials.
