A Creative Apprentice is an entry-level professional who works under the guidance of experienced creatives, such as designers, copywriters, or art directors, to learn the skills and workflows necessary in creative industries. Their responsibilities often include assisting with projects, brainstorming ideas, and developing their technical and artistic abilities. This role is typically designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship, helping apprentices build a foundation for a career in fields like advertising, design, or media. Creative Apprenticeships can be found in agencies, studios, and in-house creative teams, offering a structured path to employment and professional growth.

What types of projects can a creative apprentice expect to work on, and how are they typically supported by the team?

As a Creative Apprentice, you'll often contribute to a variety of projects such as assisting with campaign brainstorming, graphic design, copywriting, or social media content creation. Apprentices usually work closely with senior creatives and project managers, receiving mentorship and regular feedback to help develop their skills. Collaboration is key, and you'll likely participate in team meetings, creative reviews, and cross-departmental initiatives. This hands-on exposure provides a practical learning environment and sets a strong foundation for future advancement in creative roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a creative apprentice, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Apprentice, you need a basic understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and a portfolio showcasing creative work, often supported by relevant coursework or training. Familiarity with industry-standard design software like Adobe Creative Suite and digital collaboration platforms is typically required. Strong communication, openness to feedback, and a proactive attitude are valuable soft skills that help you learn and grow in collaborative environments. Job description

PRODUCER

ONE LINE JOB DESCRIPTION: Architect the musical expression of Cornerstone Worship while executing that expression through the development of volunteers.

Direct Supervisor: JACOB BOYD

Job Title: PRODUCER

This is a FULL-TIME POSITION - 40 HOURS A WEEK

THE ROLE

Cornerstone Worship is looking for a Producer to become the architect of our sound - the person who takes the vision for our Sunday gatherings and translates it into what the room actually hears and feels each week.

This role exists inside a specific context worth understanding clearly: Cornerstone trains every musician in-house, with no contracted or hired players. Every voice and instrument on our platform is a volunteer we've developed ourselves. The right person for this role doesn't see that as a limitation to work around - they see it as the actual creative and strategic challenge worth solving. This is not a role for someone who wants to direct a band of seasoned professionals; it's a role for someone who wants to build something excellent and broad in expression with the people God has actually placed in the room.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the vision and direction of Cornerstone Worship
  • Serve as Music Director for Cornerstone's Sunday morning gatherings, essentially every week.
  • Own the musical execution of the Worship Director's vision for each service - arrangement, key and transition decisions, and real-time direction of the band.
  • Build and coordinate all aspects of the musical execution of a Sunday morning including scheduling, resourcing, playback, etc.
  • Think strategically and creatively about how Cornerstone's musical expression can broaden and improve over time - not change for its own sake, but genuine growth in range and quality.
  • Bring a point of view on what Cornerstone's sound is and what it could become, and make the case for that direction
  • Design how Cornerstone's musical systems (arrangements, playback, rehearsal process) can scale to a growing, all-volunteer band - not assume a pool of professional-caliber players.
  • Build with reproducibility in mind: systems and resources that could eventually be handed off and used well by someone at a different campus who's never met you.
  • Contribute real structure to how Cornerstone continues developing musicians across the board - this is a genuine part of the role, though not its primary focus.
  • Partner with the broader worship development pipeline (Crowd Dev Team Serving Apprentice Resident) specifically on the musicianship and musical-skill side of that development, working alongside - not replacing - the team already responsible for that pipeline.
