Job description

Morning Show Co-Host Opportunity – WQDR-FM Raleigh, NC

If you believe great morning radio is built through curiosity, creativity, and a genuine connection with listeners, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Curtis Media Group’s WQDR-FM has a rare opportunity to join one of Country radio’s most respected morning shows and partner with multi-CMA Award winning host, Mike Wheless.

This isn’t just a job in radio — it’s an opportunity to become part of the soundtrack of the Triangle. WQDR has been a trusted voice and companion for listeners across Raleigh-Durham for decades, connecting with the community through great Country music, local stories, and real conversations.

The Triangle is an incredible place to call home — a thriving community with amazing food, entertainment, outdoor experiences, and one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.

We’re looking for someone with the passion to put listeners first — on the air, online, and in the community.

You’re someone who believes show prep is more than a checklist. It’s about finding the stories, conversations, and moments that connect with real people every day. You’re constantly curious, always looking for ways to improve, open to feedback, and excited by the opportunity to collaborate and grow.

You bring great ideas to the table and understand the importance of being local, relevant, and “here and now.” You know great morning radio is built by being part of the community you serve.

As a locally owned and independent broadcast company, Curtis Media Group provides the creative freedom and support to create great localized radio while giving talent the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of full-time radio experience required
• Strong on-air skills and a proven ability to create compelling content
• Passion for show prep, storytelling, and connecting with listeners
• A team-first attitude with a desire to collaborate and grow

Ready for your next opportunity? We want to hear from you.

Please send:
• 2 minutes of your best content (audio and/or video)
• A detailed outline of your radio experience

Send all inquiries to: kbullard@curtismedia.com
