JOB DETAILS:
Position:Quality Metrology Technician
JOB REF#:44725 - 1500027
Duration:12+ Months (On-going Contract)
Location:ONSITE - Georgetown, KY 40324
Pay Rate:$35.00 - $40.00 per hour (W2 Only)
** Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense**
** This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered**
Technician is responsible for checking the quality of new models, check the body weld tooling as well as it s accessories. They will also be responsible for doing the first builds of the model.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems, i.e., PolyWorks, Catia and 3D imaging software.
Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
Support Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts, and part fitting.
Analyze part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
Candidates MUST have the following:
Strong knowledge of body structure and experience working with portable CMM equipment (Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO).
Metrology experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
2-5 Years Automotive/ Aerospace Quality Metrology experience (Sheet-metal QA)
Capable of using portable CMM equipment, Scanners, Laser Trackers. (FARO, Vectorarm, Leica, Creaform).
Experience with 3D comparison software's like PolyWorks, Cam 2, Scene, PC DMIS.
Strong mechanical ability. Small hand tools for adjusting / modifying part datums.
Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
EDUCATION: High School Graduate/Diploma
Other Requirements:
25%: Travel - Domestic and International (able to obtain a US Passport)
25%: Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime.
PPE: Will wear Steel Toed Shoes/Hard Hat and Safety Glasses
Abilities Requirements:
Able to create and maintain schedules.
Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.
Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes that may occur daily.
