Mechanical Assembly / Crate BuilderOverview Summary
Summit Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Assembly / Crate Builder to support production and shipping operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment. In this role, you will build wooden shipping crates, perform mechanical assembly, and ensure products are securely prepared for transport using hand and power tools.

Location: Coppell, Texas
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $17.00/hour
Shift Options:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
Key Responsibilities
  • Build wooden crates for shipping equipment and products
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials using a tape measure and tools
  • Follow blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions accurately
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and durability
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Skills & Experience
  • Experience using hand and power tools required
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic assembly processes
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or construction environments preferred
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
