Job description

Function/Duties of Position
OHSU seeks a full-time Systems Analyst/ Engineer in Portland, Oregon to provide a broad spectrum of systems analysis, engineering, support, and project management across OHSU ITG technology platforms.

Required Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor's (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related, 36 months experience as a Computer Network/ Systems Engineer or IT Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate. Experience must include Designing, implementing and supporting new systems and infrastructure; Using one or more formal project management methods; Supporting large mission critical systems in 24X7 multiple production environments; 3 years working with Cisco or Juniper systems; TCP/IP and other networking protocols; Crash analysis and troubleshooting; Application installation and configuration; Enterprise experience with general systems administration (at minimum UNIX and Microsoft), and/or scripting, etc. Knowledge of Network Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.); Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.); Network Topologies (Ethernet, Wave Division Multiplexing, etc.); Data Communications Equipment (Routers, Switches, WiFi, Radio backhaul, etc.); Network Management Tools (Netflow, SNMP, packet sniffing, etc.); Premise Distribution Systems (Fiber, Copper, etc.); Security Toolsets (VPN, Firewalls, advanced ACL methods, Auditing Tools, Intrusion Detection, etc.); Using accepted Change Control management processes; IT security best practices and processes; QOS methodologies and practice.
