Job description

Summary:ย  Southway Crane & Rigging LLC, is looking for qualified individuals to train and grow within the crane and rigging industry. ย A Rigger will have some knowledge of crane operations, basic math, and safety and accident prevention. The classroom portion of the program will last approximately 12 weeks. ย Classes will be Monday โ€“ Friday 8am- 5 pm. Following approximately 1 month of class; Fridays will be field days.

Whether through on-the-job learning, formalized training, work experience, or a combination of all, to become a Rigger an individual must know:

โ€ขย ย  ย How to select proper sling and rigging hardware
โ€ขย ย  ย The effect of sling angles
โ€ขย ย  ย The proper methods of safe load securing

โ€ขย ย  ย Standard hand and voice signal communications
โ€ขย ย  ย How to inspect rigging equipment
