As of Jul 15, 2026, the average hourly pay for craftsman tools in the United States is $26.30, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $22.60 and $28.61 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is a Craftsman Tools job?

A Craftsman Tools job typically involves working with or for Craftsman, a well-known brand of hand and power tools. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include tool design, manufacturing, sales, or repair. Employees may work in retail, customer service, engineering, or technical support. These jobs require knowledge of tools, mechanical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

In the context of skilled trades like craftsman roles, earning $1,000,000 annually is rare and typically limited to business owners or entrepreneurs who own multiple locations or a large enterprise. Highly experienced craftsmen with specialized skills or those who run successful businesses may reach high income levels, but such earnings are uncommon for individual tradespeople. Most craftsman jobs offer moderate salaries, with top earners often supplementing income through business growth or additional services.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Craftsman Tools position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a craftsman specializing in tools, you need expertise in manual tool use, fabrication techniques, and mechanical aptitude, often supported by a vocational or technical certification. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop safety guidelines is essential. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are important soft skills in this field. These qualities ensure precision, safety, and the reliability of the work produced, leading to client satisfaction and professional growth.

What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities of someone working with Craftsman Tools?

A professional working with Craftsman Tools typically spends their day measuring and shaping materials, assembling or repairing equipment, and maintaining tools to ensure optimal performance. They often collaborate with other craftsmen, project managers, or clients to interpret specifications and complete tasks according to design requirements. Depending on the setting, they may also inspect finished work for accuracy and quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute ideas for improving efficiency. This role requires both independent work and teamwork, making adaptability and clear communication valuable assets for daily success.

What are some Craftsman jobs?

Craftsman tools are used by professionals and hobbyists in various trades, including carpentry, automotive repair, plumbing, and electrical work. Jobs involving Craftsman tools often require technical skills, knowledge of specific tools, and safety awareness, with roles such as technicians, installers, and repair specialists commonly utilizing these tools in their daily tasks.

How much does a Craftsman get paid?

Craftsman tools is a brand, not a job title. If you are referring to a craftsman or skilled tradesperson, their pay varies by experience, location, and specialization, but generally ranges from $15 to $30 per hour. Skilled craftsmen with certifications or specialized tools may earn higher wages, especially in construction, carpentry, or repair fields.

What company took over Craftsman tools?

The Craftsman brand of tools was acquired by Stanley Black & Decker in 2017. Since then, Stanley Black & Decker has managed the production and distribution of Craftsman tools, including power tools, hand tools, and accessories, often offering warranties and repair services for the products.
