Job description

DESCRIPTION
Brixx Craft House is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen operations. This role is responsible for menu development, kitchen leadership, food quality, cost control, and team management. The ideal candidate is both a creative culinary leader, strong communicator, and an excellent operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including prep, line, and service
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus and specials
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering
  • Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with ownership/management on business goals
  • Control labor costs and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a line cook, lead cook or Sous Chef
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Proven ability to manage food and labor costs
  • Experience with menu development and costing
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

REQUIREMENTS
Brixx Craft House is a fast-growing, high-energy restaurant focused on delivering exceptional food, a creative menu, and a memorable guest experience. We take pride in quality ingredients, consistency, and a strong team culture. We are a locally owned and operated gastro inspired sports pub that's been growing year over year for eight straight years. We are currently looking for a lead chef with a desire to work hard, contribute to our success, and have fun, while making sure our guest experience is second to none.
