Job description

COMPANY AND CULTURE:At Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Shift Leader assists with opening and closing duties, helps lead Guest Service and helps bridge the gap between frosting and Guest Services by crafting orders. JOB POSITION:The Shift Leader fills in for the Manager and assists in opening and closing duties. The Shift Leader creates a warm and welcoming environment in which to serve the Nothing Bundt Cakes guests both in person and by telephone. The SL does side work duties for the Crafting Department, some light cleaning and clerical duties.The SL assists in maintaining the crafting departments and keep it supplied, clean and running efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Introduce walk-in guests to the bakery and products using a Guest Tour
  • Suggest creative solutions to guests with walk-in orders
  • Suggest the purchase of add-ons and retail to make the product a complete experience
  • Assist phone-in guests with their orders
  • Operate and balance the POS with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collect email addresses from guests
  • Have current and complete knowledge of current prices, products and promotions
  • Keep retail area clean, swept and neatly merchandised throughout the day
  • Dust all retail surfaces at least twice per week, including counter tops and POS stations.
  • Carry out the duties the crafter & other departments assigns from time to time
  • Coordinate the timing of all orders between Guest Services and Frosting departments.
  • Wrap/box all frosted cakes for same-day/next-day orders.
  • Follow Crafting Manual to put designs together.
  • Keep a ready inventory of pre-made design pieces for walk-in and same-day orders.
  • Print and verify the delivery log.
  • Track crafting material inventory.
  • Make and fluff bows.
  • Generate personalized message cards.
  • Keep crafting area clean and sanitized, including crafting bins, drawers, and the BOH POS station
