Job description

Ignite Your Career with Garver's Water Marketing Team as a Proposal Coordinator
Are you a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, detail-oriented setting? Join the expanding Marketing Team at Garver and become a Proposal Coordinator! This role demands strong written communication skills, an eye for design, and the ability to compile and refine a range of data and marketing materials. You will use those skills in this unique role where you function as equal parts graphic designer, content writer, data guru, and project manager.
The ideal candidate will embody team spirit, excel in both independent and collaborative work environments, and effortlessly juggle multiple tasks while prioritizing deadlines. You'll collaborate closely with engineers on Garver's Water team to push the creative envelope and deliver industry-leading proposals that win new work.
Key Responsibilities that will engage with your passions:
  • Take the reins of the proposal process, overseeing everything from RFP release to final client delivery. This includes owning the document, effectively communicating proposal requirements to the team, setting up and keeping internal draft deadlines, crafting, editing, and meticulously proofreading complex proposals, government forms, and quality control checks to meet client specifications.
  • Use Adobe InDesign and our custom graphic assets to craft proposals that vividly illustrate why Garver stands above the competition, seamlessly blending your unique graphic style with our brand.
  • Craft custom-written content that speaks directly to the client's selection committee and sets us apart from the competition, weaving a narrative that showcases Garver's distinct strengths and compelling the client to choose Garver.
  • Coordinate and organize a wealth of technical information, encompassing photography, external subconsultant data, and marketing materials such as brochures, posters, and project award entries.
  • Embrace your role as a vital cog in the Water Marketing Team, contributing to the central information database of custom content for future projects.
  • Dive into the water engineering industry, gradually increasing understanding to communicate effectively with Garver's project leaders and clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to create compelling client presentations that secure project wins.

What Sets This Opportunity Apart:
  • Diverse Backgrounds: While AEC experience is valuable to this opportunity it is not required. We're primarily seeking enthusiasm and a strong work ethic!
  • Fostered Creativity: If you are the rare kind of person with both a passion for science and a creative streak, this could be your perfect fit.
  • In-House Partnership: Unlike a typical marketing agency, we collaborate closely with our internal customers - Project and Client Service Managers. This means each new project is a chance to build on past experiences and refine your craft.
  • Collective Excellence: You'll feel the freedom to both independently manage your tasks and harness your team member's strengths through our collaborative environment.
  • Empowered Creative Authority: In this entry-level position, you'll quickly earn the trust and autonomy needed to make substantial contributions to our project pursuits. We're looking for individuals who thrive on responsibility and are eager to lead their own careers. If the idea of meaningful work excites you more than a laid-back, routine day, you'll feel at home on our team.

Fundamental Requirements:
  • Education or proven experience in Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, English, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills that set you apart.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design and page layout principles.
  • Ability in Adobe InDesign with a drive to master the program.
  • Accuracy and efficiency in incorporating red-line edits.
  • Outstanding communication skills that bring ideas to life.
  • Demonstrated project management skills that can receive information from multiple channels while holding parties accountable to deadlines and drive progress.
  • 0 to 4+ years of relevant experience - our onboarding can be customized whether you're new to the game or a seasoned pro.

The Culture You'll Experience at Garver:
