About the Team
The Marketing Technology is responsible for delivering best-in-class tools, data, and processes so teams at DoorDash can effectively acquire new customers, drive retention, and grow new business lines across all our audiences, including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants. Our mission is to enable teams to deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all our owned and paid channels. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing's technology needs into measurable business outcomes for our Growth and Performance Marketing teams.
About the Role
We're seeking a Front-End Web Developer to build and optimize DoorDash's B2B Marketing websites. In this role, you'll own front-end development for our Marketing web properties, creating high-performance, accessible, and scalable web experiences that drive business growth. You'll work at the intersection of design, technology, and marketing to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
You'll be responsible for developing features and enhancements to marketing sites from scoping through implementation, ensuring code quality and performance at scale. This role requires someone who can balance craft with speed-building beautiful, performant experiences while maintaining our aggressive growth pace.
This role sits in the Marketing Technology team within the Growth Marketing organization.

  • Develop features and enhancements to marketing sites (e.g. merchants.doordash.com, business.doordash.com, dasher.doordash.com) in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
  • Own front-end web development projects from scoping through implementation and optimization, working closely with Marketing, Design, Content and Engineering teams
  • Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
  • Lead front-end architecture decisions, maintaining component libraries, performance optimization strategies, and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)
  • Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining brand consistency and design fidelity
  • Collaborate with the Web Platforms team on CMS integration (Contentful), ensuring seamless content management experiences for Marketing teams
  • Implement responsive designs that work flawlessly across devices and browsers, with a mobile-first approach
  • Work with Marketing teams to implement tracking and analytics code, ensuring proper measurement of user behavior and conversion metrics
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor other developers on front-end best practices and emerging web technologies
  • Partner with Product and Strategy teams to scope major initiatives, define technical requirements, and deliver business outcomes
  • Identify and implement improvements to the front-end codebase, including performance optimizations, accessibility enhancements, workflow efficiencies and developer experience improvements
  • Stay current with web technologies, frameworks, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to enhance our marketing websites
We're excited about you because you possess...
  • 3-6 years of professional front-end web development experience, ideally supporting marketing or growth teams
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with expertise in React/NextJS (Vue.js or Angular also considered)
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern CSS methodologies (CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, Tailwind, or similar)
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and experience building inclusive web experiences
  • Experience with modern deployment and hosting platforms (Vercel strongly preferred) and web applications.
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful strongly preferred) and component-driven content architecture, with Storybook for component development
  • Familiarity with modern development workflows: Git, CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite experience a plus), build tools (Webpack, Vite, Turborepo), and package managers
  • Track record managing technical debt strategically and leading system modernization efforts
  • Experience with lead gen form architecture, including validation, routing, API integrations, and bot prevention
  • Experience implementing web analytics, data layer management and tag management (Google Tag Manager experience a plus)
  • Experience with web performance optimization and SEO technical fundamentals, including meta tag management, structured data (JSON-LD), rendering, crawlability, canonical/hreflang strategies, sitemap generation and Core Web Vitals optimizations (programmatic SEO experience is a plus)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience running or heavily contributing to a team's execution: sprints, Jira, scoping, Confluence documentation
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and ability to reason from first-principles how technologies work/affect outcomes
  • Experience integrating AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, MCPs into development workflows

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
