About the Role
We are looking for someone who is friendly, tech-savvy, organized, great at multi-tasking, and can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers - the ability to make every customer's experience amazing from the moment they walk through the door is everything in this role. The Receptionist is responsible for checking in new and existing patients per state and CRA requirements, creating patient profiles, and generally assisting where needed.
Successful candidates will complete mandatory training through JARS University - conducted both virtually and in-person at our mock-store training facility.
Job Duties
  • Verify customers' legal age requirements, register new customers in the POS system, and scan in returning customers
  • Check customer purchasing allotments through the POS system upon check-in
  • Promote the JARS brand and get customers excited about shopping at our location
  • Welcome guests and customers into the store with a positive, upbeat, and friendly demeanor
  • Use proper greetings and salutations with all customers at all times
  • Assist with curbside and online orders when needed
  • Answer calls with professional and proper phone etiquette
  • Provide customers with information regarding products, store hours and location, daily specials, website address, and more
  • Emphasize the JARS Loyalty Program, campaigns, events, daily texts, and other promotions
  • Arrive to each scheduled shift on time and presentably dressed
  • Communicate with team members for order completion updates
  • Create personable and memorable experiences for all store patrons
  • Always maintain Michigan and CRA compliance in all customer-facing interactions
  • Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, as well as general upkeep of the reception area
  • Support store management in an administrative capacity as required
  • Adhere at all times to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, compliance requirements, and protocols
  • Monitor customer queues at all times
  • Keep all online and in-store menus current with daily offerings
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
  • 1 year of previous administrative and/or Front Desk Receptionist experience
  • Must have strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member
  • Exceptional hospitality skills required - role involves constant contact with patients and staff
Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands
  • Requires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Requires occasional stocking, labeling, cleaning, organizing
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment
  • Moving up to 30 pounds on occasion
  • Work will generally be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary
  • Involves frequent contact with patients and staff
  • Will require working varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion
