Position Overview
Ride Operators are at the heart of what makes Clementon Park & Splash World a memorable destination. In this seasonal role, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and enjoyable ride experiences to every guest. We are looking for energetic, reliable individuals who take safety seriously and bring a positive attitude to every shift.
What You'll Do
โ€ข Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience
โ€ข Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner
โ€ข Enforce rider restrictions, measure guests for height requirements, and communicate policies clearly and respectfully
โ€ข Verify that restraints and loose articles are secured before dispatching
โ€ข Operate ride controls (buttons, switches, etc.) to safely cycle attractions
โ€ข Assist guests in and out of ride vehicles efficiently and with care
โ€ข Manage queue lines and cycle guests through in an orderly and timely manner
โ€ข Monitor guests throughout the ride cycle and respond calmly to any concerns
โ€ข Follow established emergency procedures in the event of a ride emergency
โ€ข Keep ride areas and queue lines clean and presentable throughout the day
โ€ข Track and report ride throughput as directed by supervisors
โ€ข Communicate with supervisors and other departments via radio when required
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
โ€ข Communication: Interacts with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner; communicates clearly and calmly under pressure; and follows verbal and written instructions accurately.
โ€ข Situational Awareness: Monitors the ride environment continuously; identifies potential safety concerns before they escalate; and takes prompt, appropriate action.
โ€ข Dependability: Arrives on time for every scheduled shift; follows through on assigned tasks; and maintains consistent performance throughout the season.
โ€ข Guest Focus: Treats every guest with patience and respect; remains approachable and upbeat even during high-volume periods.
โ€ข Teamwork: Works cooperatively with fellow operators, supervisors, and other park departments to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements:
โ€ข Must be at least 16 years old
โ€ข No prior experience required - full training provided
โ€ข Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift
โ€ข Comfortable working outdoors in hot and/or humid conditions
โ€ข Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-guest-volume environment
โ€ข No special certifications required
