Moog's Military Aircraft (MMA)is looking for aContract Security Program Officer (CPSO)to join them. You will report to the General Counsel for MMA and will have an on-site work schedule in East Aurora, NY. Relocation assistance is available.

To be considered for this role, here's what you will typically need to bring with you:

  • Typically, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college

  • 5+ years of FSO/CPSO experience

  • 7+ years of experience in security roles

  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP accesses

  • Knowledgeable of the DoD SAP Manuals, Volumes 1-4, and ICD series manuals

  • Experienced with developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensures adherence to applicable laws, national regulations, and Department of Defense (DOD) SAP security policies, including the DOD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoDM 5205.07 Volumes I-IV).

  • Works closely with the SAP government program manager (GPM) to create a secure environment for successful SAP development and execution.

  • Exercises approval authority for standard operating procedures (SOPs), security plans, and other security documentation.

  • Provides detailed instructions and procedures based on the program's security classification guide (SCG), SOPs, and applicable marking guides.

  • Approves modes for transmission and transportation of SAP material.

  • Notifies and reports security violations to the GPM with a copy to the appropriate Cognizant Authority and the Special Access Program Central Office.

Personnel Security:

  • Takes immediate action when new adverse or questionable information is discovered regarding an individual with current access.

  • Oversees Program Access Requests (PARs) and Access Eligibility Reviews.

  • Ensures that a SAP-trained and knowledgeable SAP personnel security official (SPO) is assigned to each organization or facility.

  • May perform Special Access Program Personnel Security Official (SPO) functions when designated by the CA SAPCO.

Physical Security:

  • Certifies accesses to the facility.

  • Accredits SAP facilities (SAPFs) and ensures compliance with DoDM 5205.07, Volume 3, and ICD 705.

  • Conducts or verifies inspections of approved SAPFs for security compliance.

  • Verifies adherence to configuration management policies for hardware and software authorization.

  • Approves Secure Encryption Devices.

Security Education:

  • Manages and directs assigned SAP Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) programs.

  • Ensures SETA programs meet specific SAP requirements.

  • Delivers country-specific threat and defensive briefings for personnel traveling abroad.

  • Provides overall security training tailored to the unique needs of the SAP.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
