Job description

Job Overview

Contract Security Program Officer (CPSO) positioned at Moog’s Military Aircraft (MMA) division, reporting to the General Counsel. Onsite work in East Aurora, NY (relocation assistance available).

The role involves managing SAP security programs, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, and overseeing personnel, physical, and security education functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and DoD SAP security policies.
  • Collaborate with SAP Government Program Manager to maintain a secure environment.
  • Approve and oversee SOPs, security plans, and other documentation.
  • Provide instructions based on the program’s security classification guide (SCG), SOPs, and marking guides.
  • Approve modes for transmission and transportation of SAP material.
  • Notify and report security violations to GPM, Cognizant Authority, and SAP Central Office.
  • Act on adverse information regarding individuals with access; oversee Program Access Requests (PARs) and Access Eligibility Reviews.
  • Ensure a SAP‑trained personnel security official (SPO) is assigned; perform SPO functions when designated.
  • Certify facility accesses; accredit SAP facilities and enforce compliance with DoDM 5205.07 and ICD 705.
  • Conduct or verify inspections of approved SAP facilities for security compliance.
  • Verify hardware and software configuration management and approve secure encryption devices.
  • Manage and direct SAP Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) programs.
  • Deliver threat and defensive briefings for personnel traveling abroad.
  • Provide overall security training tailored to SAP needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • 5+ years of FSO/CPSO experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in security roles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP accesses.
  • Knowledgeable of DoD SAP Manuals, Volumes 1‑4, and ICD series manuals.
  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans.
